Best of the Best in Film

Created: 16/12/09
In the early nineties, a small time movie came out that focused on martial arts in the sport arena. This was before the onset of MMA and highlighted the tournaments based on point fighting which is far less popular today. This movie, starring Eric Roberts (yes, Julia's brother), Phillip Rhee, James Earl-Jones, Jason Bateman, and Christopher Penn takes the viewer on a journey through the months of training a team must go through in order to compete on an international level and emphasizes the importance of teamwork and integrity in life and relationships.
The story is filled with strong character development and excellent martial arts action and, though it is a bit dated, the story, morals, and feelings are timeless.

Best of the Best!!!!!!

I love this movie! Have been looking for an inexpensive copy for some time, patience and eBay paid off.

This is a guy film, no two ways about it and I highly recommend it to any fan of martial arts films. While not high concept, a basic story puts our cast together and things start rumbling.

Really nothing more to add, BUY THIS FILM!!!!!

I bought this dvd because it is one of my favorite movies of all time and I wanted my children to see an old school martial arts movie, not the hi-tech movies that we have now.

"Good 80's Drama!"

 | Yes, I would recommend this product to a friend.

Eric Roberts, Phillip Rhee, James Earl Jones and
Chris Penn star in this 1989 drama. A coach
trains 5 martial artists competing in a karate
tournament who start to care about each other.
I used to watch this on tv long ago and liked
it since. This dvd has decent picture and
sound, but no extras. Get this good 80's
film.
