Best of The Electric Company - Vol. 2 (DVD, 2006, 4-Disc Set)

This is an awesome set if you remember the Electric Company. It is filled with so many famous people that I never realized were in this childrens program! Morgan Freeman, Rita Moreno, Bill Cosby. There are even voice overs from Joan Rivers, Gene Wilder, and Mel Brooks. If you have never heard of the Electric company, it is produced by Sesame Workshop who are the same people that produce Sesame Street. It is great to take a trip down memory lane with Letter-man, Easy Reader, Jennifer of the Jungle, Spiderman and the rest of those educational skits. There are even clips on these DVD's from some of the actors and Outtakes. You will completely enjoy this if you remember it or not! It is great as an educational dvd for your kids. Most kids that were between 6 and 10 yrs. old during the 70's learned to read with the Electric Company! I know I did!

I enjoyed watching the shows again on DVD. It bought back a lot of memories when I was a kid. And wish I could go back to those days.I enjoyed hearing and watching the cast and how they got started and what they were doing before getting casted on the show.It was the best kid's show in the 70's how to teach the children how to read.It's been my all time favorite kid's show even today.

Growing up on public television like I did in the late 1970's, I grew especially fond of "The Electric Company", and was ecstatic when I learned it was coming to DVD.

For anyone into nostalgia television, this show's a gasser. Highly recommended.

This is a great DVD. I remember watching The Electric Company with my son when he was young (he's now 37) and now I'm watching with my grandson and he loves it too.

I Liked tis program a lot when I was growing up This DVD has interviews with the original cast members and complete shows and is all around A fun show to watch.
