    Album Notes
Curb's 2004 release The Best of Jack Scott opens up with two slick latter-day re-recordings of two of Scott's biggest hits -- "What in the World's Come Over You" and "Burning Bridges" -- before it settles into a selection of 13 recordings that Scott recorded for Carlton between 1958 and 1960. While this is prime Scott, it doesn't contain two of his signature songs from the Carlton era -- neither "Leroy" or "The Way I Walk" are here. So, this is a mixed bag, although better than a set of nothing but re-recordings. That's good enough to make this a worthwhile impulse purchase if it's picked up at a good price. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine

    Best of Jack Scott

    Created: 17/01/10
The CD is OK but note that it is in itunes format which I didn't expect. I guess maybe I didn't't read the description carefully enough. The sound quality is what you would expect from Itunes, - OK but not like a regular CD.

It's also not easy to manipulate the songs. I'm not an itunes person so I've struggled.

The case was well packed but still arrived with 3 cracks in it. This didn't impact the CD, but it did make me wonder what I was really getting.

Overall, it wasn't what I expected but it is usable as long as you are willing to put up with sub-par clarity and file manipulation issues you get with an itunes format.

I enjoyed the CD very much. It gave me memories of when I was little and my mother listened to him. I have always remembered What in the worlds come over you and the Great Burning Bridges.

We really enjoy Jack Scott's singing. We decide to buy it because we seen him in a concert (Columbus, Oh) a couple of years ago and really enjoyed the performance.
