Best of Joe HAS to be Leave Your Hat On

You Can Leave Your Hat On = dancing wherever you're seated. Joe Cocker has some awesome music, but for some reason, this song never made the Hit List. I bought this CD solely for this song. Give it a listen ...

Old folk

The first time I heard Joe Cocker sing was on a tv show accompanied by Leon Russel on the piano.I was maybe 17 then. I wondered how that whiskey voiced old black blues singer got into the little spastic white guy. I have never seen a better show since. His physical control is of no consequence when it comes to his vocals and daring in his career.

Just missing a little something

Created: 27/05/08
A nice all-purpose CD, no complaints about the songs on it. What's missing however are "Cry Me a River" and "The Letter" (live). Having either would have raised this rating to 5 star. Oh well, at least the live "With a Little Help From My Friends" made the cut.

It is what it says it is

Most excellent music. I play it while I do yardwork, also known as exercise...yuck. Some of the songs are good for resting like "now that the magic has gone" and some make me move more than I normally would like "Unchain my heart"
