Movie synopsis
These two memorable Westerns salute one of Hollywood's greatest cowboy heroes, Gene Autry. Filmed on location at the 1936 Texas centennial, BIG SHOW finds Gene Autry playing missing cowboy star Tom Ford. His lookalike (also played by Autry) substitutes in his place, but discovers the star owes a ton of cash to gangsters. In SPRINGTIME IN THE ROCKIES, the singing cowboy goes on a rough and tumble ride through a range war.

) I am still a fan of many B&W movies. If you have ever liked Gene Autry,and Smiley Burnette,this is one of the best. Smiley Burnette (Froggy) sings in this movie.He has a wash tub base fiddle that he plays. For me,this movie brought back many memories. Don't get me wrong.I do like color movies.Black and white still has it's place.
