Amped Tai Bo - Good Routines

I have other Billy Blanks CD's - he's good - challenging - and certainly enthusiastic and inspirational. These are similar to previous routines, stressing coordination, stamina, and alot of movement. The "AMP" 3 lb. rod expands - the addition of weight and the positions assumed when holding and moving it increase the challenge of the routines. You can learn the moves and add the "AMP" rod later on. As a YMCA certified fitness leader, a word of caution with these DVD's. While the warm-ups are OK, they are on the brief side, and you may need more movement and stretching before launching into the quicker movements. At the other end, the cool-downs are very brief and are not adequate for the amount of activity here. These routines will keep your heart rate in aerobic range, and the cool down needs to be MUCH longer, with a much more gradual step down than these include. Also, there is one sequence where the head is LOWER than the heart in the middle of full tilt, high-energy activity - a big no-no. You just need to be aware of these things to avoid injuries and strain. The routines are great fun, as always. A real plus in this set is that movements are actually taught at 1/4 or 1/2 speed - and you can keep doing them at that pace until you are comfortable with the movements. That is a big improvement. You will need to keep the integrity in your movements - sometimes that means keeping it slower than what you are seeing. Most are boxing and martial arts moves, not dance-type steps. Use common sense, work and learn at your own pace, maintain quality of movement and control, and you'll have a good time. These are also good for interval training. I combine Tae Bo segments with weight training segments from The Firm or Leslie Sansone's walking routines. These are fun, challenging, and you feel a real sense of accomplishment as you get stronger.

THE BEST CARDIO AROUND!! :)

I purchased the TAE NO Amped set about six months..
and have experienced AMAZING results.
The majority of the moves are easy to pick up..
and most of the moves are easy to do/balance.
I ordered mine from walmart.com..and it arrived
quickly..unpacked easily..very moderately priced.
Start off easy with this as with any workout
regiment..don't overdo it..seriously.
you'll wake up the next morning not being able
to move!!!
When I started doing Tae Bo when it first came
out on video I overdid it and was sore for two
days..so seriously..ify ou are a first time..
take it slow!!
You will begin to see results immediately..
especially if you are eating the right way..
drinking plenty of fresh, filtered water..
and getting plenty of sleep or fitting in
a nap to compensate.
Billy Blanks' programs always whip me back
into shape very quickly..well worth the price!!

This workout has been such an asset to my collection. I love the amped bar. It's not as difficult as I feared it would be. The dvd's are awesome and they produce amazing results. I love rotating them to keep from plateauing. My arms are stronger, I've lost 10 lbs. and I keep recording inches off each month in my journal. I probably like this one the best because I feel my core gets a really awesome workout. Billy tackles each area very well. Highly recommend! If you're only going to buy one Tae Bo workout, I'd suggest this one.

tao bo amped

I love Billy's workout. He really knows how to kick your butt! I would say that this DVD set is great and a very intense workout. Beginners should definitely not try this to begin with, since it seems to be for more experienced tae bo users. Also the amped bar does add great resistance to your work-out but I must say it is very flimsy and was causing me problems the first day i began using it. If your going to buy this item, buy it for the workouts, not for the amped bar. But overall, a good purchase.

Billy Blanks' Workouts Rock!!

I have almost every workout tape that Billy Blanks has put out there and Tae Bo Amped does not disappoint!! I've tried a lot of other workouts and I am so used to the intense workouts that taebo provides that I keep coming back to Billy! It is intense, works every muscle imaginable and I've lost 26 lbs. so far by eating healthier and using Billy's tapes! You won't be disappointed if you purchase these workout tapes. Just do it!!
