Movie synopsis

The few remaining residents of a Canadian sorority house are celebrating the onset of Christmas vacation when a thirteen year-old girl is found dead in the park. Soon, it is discovered that one of the sorority sisters is missing, which triggers a terrifying chain of murders within the house. Director Bob Clark's (PORKY'S, A CHRISTMAS STORY) tense, effective film is a precursor to the slasher films that would come a half decade later, but never relies on gore. Olivia Hussy (ROMEO AND JULIET) stars alongside Margot Kidder and SCTV's Andrea Martin.

The tagline is absolutly right, "If this movie doesn't make your skin crawl... It's On Too Tight"! After I got done watching this great slasher flick, my skin was crawling. It wasn't about the terror or anything, it just seems really weird and it just freaked me out; the phone calls, and how psycho the killer was. Especially the strange string theme, the strings tune that played in the background when something weird was going on... and the eye coming out of the darkness when This, like most people said, would have to be one of the greatest slasher flicks out there. Weird, but good...

On a night of a Christmas Party at a sorority, a man finds away into the house/ attic and begans to creep up there, calling the sisters and when one girl anemd Claire that was at the party, goes upsatirs into her room... she is murdered by being smuthered with plastic.

No one knowing and her body being displayed up in the attic, the sorority sisters at the house think she disappeared, planning some holiday get-together.

Still getting weird calls, the sorority sisters and Claire's father go to the police who don't seem to care. While that, Mrs. Mac, the head-lady at the Sorority House gets murdered in the attic.

A search party goes out and they discover a 13 year old girl murdered in the park. The police put a tracker on the house Sorority House phone, so whenever anyone called, the police sheriff could hear also, and they would try to track it.

Up asleep in bed, Phyllis Carlson gets murdered and when Barbie Coard goes up to check on her, she becomes murdered... Jessica Bradford being the only one left. All alone downstairs, Jessica is still getting weird phonecalls and then they track it, "the person is inside the house."

Jessica finds her friends dead and the killer tries to kill her, her getting away (at least I think).

This movie is pretty confusing to me. I don't know if Peter is the killer and I don't know who Billy is, who the caller says he is when he's moaning and screaming things in the phone. This movie leaves you mysteriously wondering, if you're really smart at solving horror films and their endings, this would be your type of movie. I can't wait to see the remake coming out in Christmas, featurng Katie Cassidy (When A Stranger Calls), Michelle Trachtenberg (Ice Princess) Crystal Lowe (Scary Movie 4) and Lacey Chabert (Mean Girls). The remake will be released on Christmas of 2006! Get more news on it on the IMDB.

Hope you enjoy!

Black Christmas 1974 Critical Collection Edition

Created: 07/07/08
It's time for Christmas break, and the sorority sisters make plans for the holiday, but the strange anonymous phone calls are beginning to put them on edge. When Clare disappears, they contact the police, who don't express much concern. Meanwhile Jess is planning to get an abortion, but boyfriend Peter is very much against it. The police finally begin to get concerned when a 13-year-old girl is found dead in the park. They set up a wiretap to the sorority house, but will they be in time to prevent a sorority girl attrition problem?" Starring John Saxon - Kier Duellea - Margot Kidder - Olivia Hussey. I like this a lot. One of the best old horror movies from earlier 1970! This edition have some awsome extra material, wich can be fun to see, if you are a fan of old slasher movies! Se this dvd or buy, I really love to watch this one.

Black Christmas - A Horror Fans Delight

Created: 02/11/06
Black Christmas (1974)

One of the scariest movies ever made... and Canadian at that

Black Christmas was a last minute halloween choice for me 3 years ago, on VHS no less. It was either Black Christmas or Halloween, I'd seen Halloween numerous times, and being Canadian, I decided to go with the Canadian made Black Christmas.

Not knowing what to expect I plopped it into the VCR and sat back with my popcorn, unaware that I was about to witness one of the creepiest and most disturbing movies I have ever seen.

I'm not going to go into details on the story, the characters or anything like that, I'm just going to say this, If you are a true horror fan "Black Christmas" belongs in your DVD collection.

Pros:
- Creepy Atmosphere
- Very well written (This is the Film that inspired Halloween)
- Superb Cast
- The Villian makes Norman Bates look like Martha Stewart (Pre-Prison Martha)
- The Phone Calls and The Eye
- Remake comes out Christmas 2006
Cons:
- Black Christmas will make you lose interest in todays "Slasher" films

Final Verdict:
One of my Favourite horror films to date...

5/5

If you haven't seen Black Christmas, don't rent it, pick up a copy today. You won't regret it.

Black Christmas ( A dark December 25th!!!)

Created: 21/12/06
This is my favorite horror movie from the 70's! Especially the (Agnes) part with the eyeball(anyone who has seen this movie knows what I mean!!) Great cast of actors/actresses. Can't wait for my copy to arrive. Also the remake soon to be released should be interesting (I doubt that it will be as scary).
Don't wait buy/bid on your copy today!!
