Blade Movie Review
Created: 27/05/09
Wesley Snipes stars as Blade, an immortal 'day-walker' who considers it his mission to hunt vampires. Blade's mother was bitten by a vampire during her pregnancy, which passed a variety of vampiric powers on to her son. Blade benefited from the best attributes of both vampires and humans, and grew up to be a vampire hunter in order to avenge the death of his mother. He is aided by Adam Whistler (Kris Kristofferson), who provides him with a range of high-tech solutions.
A fine combination of action, science fiction and horror, 'Blade' is one of the best comic book adaptations to date. The film provides plenty of action and effects, fights and blood. The violence is successfully broken up with a variety of one-liners and other humor.

A great adaption from the Marvel Comic Books
Created: 16/09/07
Blade is one of the little known characters from the Marvel Comic books. He was originally introduced in the Spiderman comics, but was released in this movie format back in 1998.
Blade is a new take on the classic vampire movie franchise. Blade is a mutant type vampire, he was only partially changed due to the fact his mother was bitten when he was still a baby in her womb. SO he can do things other vampires cannot do, like walk in sunlight!
He is then taken in by Whistler and trained in the art of slaying vampires. Blade ends up taking on Deacon Frost who is masterfully played by Stephen Dorff.
A great movie by producer Wesley Snipes (oh and he plays Blade Also!)

Blade

The Marvel comics character Blade springs to life as Wesley Snipes becomes the half man, half vampire who can stalk and destroy the evil minions of darkness even in daylight. The daywalker, Blade, aided by fantastic gear and gadgets, great special effects, terrific martial arts and fight coreography as well as a solid soundtrack of electronic music, tries his best to rid the world of the vampires. Snipes is fantastic in the role and the movie has plenty of action and just that touch of dark comedy to really make a fun movie to watch.

One Bad a@@ vampire flick

Wesley Snipes as the part-vampire, part-human, all-action star in this, the first of the Blade trilogy movies. I feel it is the better of them, as is usually the case in trilogies. Do not expect amazing writing, nor plot, nor subtleties, but do expect a good movie to sit back and enjoy with friends. Plenty of action and gore, and it moves along quite well. There is little time spent on erroneous aspects; almost everything is quick and moves the story along, as well as to the next fight scene. About an hour and a half, and it'll fly by, as it wraps you in, and makes you want just one more fight sequence. Good shoot-'em up/stab-'em up and for the price, as it's been out for a while, totally worth it. Keep in mind that it is older, so not amazing CGI or special effects, but still, good fights, good deaths, and an overall good chalk-up to the vampire genre.

BLADE - Grab This Slice, Today!
Created: 11/08/06
At a time when Comic Book movies were not as "IN" as they are today, Blade is definitely a CUT above the rest! This film's story-telling and Hong Kong-style Martial Arts scenes are clever, gritty and crowd-pleasing for any action film (or other) buff. And, the slick CGIs and general visuals firmly add to the movie's surreal atmosphere; leaving viewers wanting to venture into Blade's gothic world again and again! Yeah, Wesley Snipes was never more cool! A+!
