Bleach Movie 1: Memories of Nobody (DVD, 2008, 2-Disc Set)

This product was just awesome to have finally purchased to own.

I saw this Movie on the "Adult Swim" block on Cartoon Network and, after it ended, I knew I wanted to own it on DVD.

This movie is an A++ product of the Viz media group, and is a must own if you are a hardcore Bleach fan.

I've watched it twice since purchasing it, and the action and suspense still have me riveted to the edge of my seat the entire time.

On a scale of one to ten the movie was a 7 or 8. A great movie overall and holds all the qualities of bleach that make it worth watching (super battles, great characters and meaningful plot). If you are a BLEACH fan I highly recommend buying the movie because it will not disappoint, however, it would not ruin or make the BLEACH series any better by watching it. Like a filler it was clearly made for something else to watch other than the straight series but don't let that let you down, as fillers are known to be pretty entertaining. Overall, from the view of a BLEACH fan, great movie, worth a one-time watch and deserves to be a part of a BLEACH collection.

It had a good story behind it but it didn't capture the, style, of the anime. It was one of those good movies where there's a good plot and emotion behind it but it doesn't tie into the story and you don't really need much background info to get into it. The story line was good, they included quite a few soul socioty members, and the action was avarage. You could guess at what was going to happen to the rest of the story about halfway through if you're paying attention though. All in all I thought it was pretty good beacuse it was the first movie because it's based so early in the anime.

Like every movies that are based on an anime, the theme is quite similar to the main series. The plot is predictable, but the characterization is quite good, though I didn't like the OCs, but that's just my personal opinion. Overall, I guess this movie is comparable to the Bount arc, only the victim is different here. Some might like it; some might not.

I am always leery of movies based on tv series but this movie combined all that was good about the series (Seasons 1-3 pre-Bount arc) and gave it a whole new spin. It showcases Ichigo's new powers as well combining the strengths of the entire Gotei 13 Captains & Lieutenants alike. Even Rukia gets in on the action this time..lots of fun to watch.
