FANS OF THE WIZARD OF OZ (THE MOVIE) WILL HATE THIS BOOK. BUT FOR TRUE FANS OF THE OZ MYTHOLOGY AND FAIRY TALE, THE BOOK WILL BE WELL-LIKED. FOR YOU SEE- OZ IS THE ONLY TRUE AMERICAN FAIRY TALE AND JUST LIKE OTHER FORIEGN BASED (MANY FROM EUROPE) FAIRY TALES LIKE SNOW WHITE, SLEEPING BEAUTY ETC., THE TALES CHANGE AND EVOLVE OVER TIME. THE TALES CHANGE WITH THE TIMES AND NEW AND ODD VERSIONS OR ALTERNATIVE PLOT LINES MAY APPEAR. THEY DO NOT REPLACE THE OLD VERSION, THEY JUST ENHANCE AND ASSURE THE SURVIVAL OF THE CLASSIC TALE. THIS VERY SHORT STORY HAS SOME OLD OZ STANDBYS HELPING SOME KANSAS FOLK BATTLE SOME PURE EVIL THAT HAS SLIPPED INTO OUR WORLD. (VAMPIRES AND KILLER BABY DOLLS)
THE LION PROVES THAT HE WILL PROTECT A NEW DOROTHY JUST AS HE ALWAYS DID. THE SCARECROW AND THE TINMAN ARE PRESENT AS WELL AND THE ENDING LEAVES YOU WANTING MORE. GROSS, BLOODY AND TOTALLY TWISTED.
