Blue Chips (DVD, 2005, Widescreen Collection)

This may be one of the 10 best sports movies of all time. Nick Nolte does as good a job as he's ever done in anything, second only to his role in "The Prince of Tides." You'll recognize several big-name basketballers in the cast and Shaq does a credible job as a huge talent who needs some academic prepping before he can enroll. But, Nolte's character says it all, "...This ain't about the kids, and it ain't about basketball - it about the money! The g_d d__n money!!"

I had this movie on VHS and could't wait to get it on DVD to add to my collection. If you like Nick Nolte and basketball, you'll love Blue Chips!

I decided to buy it because I couldn't find it at Wal-mart, Best Buy, Hastings Music/Movies/Books store. So I decided to check with ebay and I was suprised to have gotten it. I like having all the sports movies because I like to watch them when I can't find anything else on. I work with middle/high school kids and some of the sports movies I grew up on were great movies. Besides that, a lot of the movies I watched growing up, they have never even heard of. I don't remember it having so many cuss words in it. The first seen when he is in the locker room talking to his players is where he drops the most cuss words at. I especially like to snap shot as your watching the first seen that up on the wall it says" whats is seen and heard here (the locker room) stays in here. Besides that who doesn't love a good sports movie.

Great movie about how honesty can catch up with you to do the right thing. It holds your interest through the whole movie to see what he can accomplish with what he finds, and the down falls that go with it.
