Bob Books for Beginning Readers/Set 1 by Bobby Lynn Maslen (1994, Paperback)

No matter who you talk to these days in early childhood education, they tell you how great the BOB series of books are for helping emerging readers learn to become more fluent. When I first picked up the BOB readers, I was surprised because there didn't seem to be much to them. However, after purchasing the books, I can honestly say that they helped make my stepdaughter a better reader. She liked the progression from one book to the next, and each different BOB set improved different reading skills. The FUN! BOB books are great for emerging readers as well.

I bought the Bob Books for our granddaughter who was 3 at the time. They have helped begin her reading journey. We are looking forward to her completeing the series and be able to begin to read the Bible. The greatest goal in life is to be able to read God's Word for oneself. I had heard that the Bob Books are an excellent phonics program.

We had already laid the foundation of reading with our 4 year old and in just one sitting, she read through her first book, the Bob Book!

I bought these books for my 4 year-old. He and I both love the simplicity of these books. He can already read the first 2 books and we plan to keep going. Other books have few words but they are not repeated like the Bob books. We are so enjoying them and the price we paid.

this is a great set of books, my kinder garten daughter absolutely loves these books. She finds them fun to read.
