Bob Ross: 3-Hour Workshop (DVD, 2009, 3-Disc Set)

I purchased this as an off-the-wall valentines day present for my boyfriend. He LOVES Bob Ross and tries to watch every single syndicated episode. I chose this particular DVD because of how the seller described it. The 3-hour instructional is amazing, showing you step-by-step how to create oil paintings that are similar to Ross Originals. He explains his style and different ways to not only create masterpieces, but also fix "happy accidents" that happen along the way. Great DVD!

This DVD is excellent for learning basics and to remind long-time painters not satisfied with their work many reminders and even some new techniques. I will now order more of his videos, such as SEASCAPES or BARNS. Quite pleased and not really that easy to please. I'm hard on teachers (trainers) because I have been one.

I bought this product because I am taking classes at my local store. What I like is that I can paint the picture at my own pace. There is no comparison of this product to another. Bob Ross is one of a kind and brought the world of art to everyone and everyone can paint.

Bob Ross is the ultimate teacher, I have been using his method for about 8-9 mo. and love it. But that was self taught by watching him on pbs. I wanted to know more about his technique and make sure what I was doing was right..Oh how I wish he was still alive, but thanks to Bob, we can all still learn how. Its true when he says even if you haven't picked up a brush..you CAN do it.
