) This pedal is amazing. I used to use a boss bass overdrive with the gain turned almost completely down to try and come close to the tone I have found in this little pedal. Clarity, deep-ass tone, and thick chunky growl are what come out of this pedal. All true nuances are somehow left intact. I used a lot of fuzz on bass, but ever pedal I have ever used has taken some of the low end away. One day I had a wonderful idea of running this pedal and a fuzz through a loop selector. The result is fabulous!

) Boss effects are great all around for many reasons. The main one with this pedal is the versatility you get for the bass. Great for an amp, but if you don't have one and are running direct, crank up the lowest 3 frequencies to get a very reliable bottom bass sound.
This gives you the tone your bass is missing.

Get this and a good bass Di/preamp and you will have the best bass recordings on earth. I did not like my bass recordings before now all 4 of my basses have came to life. Big defined bass that i could not come close to getting before. Mids and highs that stand out in the mix. The Boss GEB-7 bass eq is great for live as well my band members noticed the difference right away. For years i have been looking for the answer for good recordings and after all this time. Thanks Boss.

Pretty cool little pedal. Not anything incredible, but it's cool to boost certain freqs, especially if your amp only has a 4 band EQ. I mainly use it now to boost two mid channels to get a nice honky tone outta my neck pickups (hums or single p style ones) and it sounds pretty good!

my yamaha 5 string bass wasn't powerful enough at the shows without this GEB-7.
