Boss RC-2 Phaser Guitar Effect Pedal

This little pedal is incredible! The Boss RC-2 is very easy to use, right out of the box. You can get started right away layering phrases and improvising. The technology employed makes operation easy, and syncs the rhythm tracks to the phrases that you play. This pedal can really inspire creativity, giving any musician the ability to come up with layer upon layer of parts. You just step on the pedal and it will recognize when you begin playing and will record what you play. Step on the pedal again to stop recording and the phrase you just played will play over and over, with a rhythm track. You can choose from many different rhythm patterns, or you can turn the level of the rhythm track off if you like. You can also tap the tempo into the pedal. If you don't like the phrase you just played, hold the pedal down and it will be erased. Continue to add phrases until you have a "track" that you like. The pedal has room to store 11 "tracks", if you will. I have only scratched the surface of what this amazing little piece of technology can do, and look forward to a lot of hours of enjoyment and creation. This pedal, more than any other piece of equipment I own, fosters creativity. Do yourself a favor and buy one soon!

You know you can get what you need from this pedal. I have a friend who uses another model/brand of looper and he's a one man band. He books gigs with acoustic guitar, congas, bass, and other instruments and he's great! I use thise to help me with my timing. I'm a live sound engineer and have been for 16 years, I mix live bands so I have very little time to jam with others. I'd reccomend this unit for sure. The sound quality is good. I play strats and teles through a Fender Vibroluxe Reverb amp. I also have a small 10 watt Blackheart that's much more suitable for the house. Effects are Carbon Copy Delay, OCD boost/comp, boss super phaser, Old Rat - one of the 1st made.
This looper pedal is a great place to start with looping at an affordable price.

i love this boss rc-2 loop station. I bought it to fill out the rythem sound in my band. I found it easy to use & does what it says it will. I dislike the small knob for selection but mostly I set it & leave it .
the price was great. Dont have another loop box to compare it too, but i use all Boss petals & it fits in my plastic molded case. I would rate this item a 9 on a scale of 1-10

This pedal makes guitar practice very easy - it is comfortable way of playing with metronome or even with sample drums in different styles. And of course the main feature of this pedal is recording of many layers - you can record rythm line, loop it and then practice with making solos over it.

But at the begginning it is hard to use the pedal well in live playing as a looper

Product is amazing. Device really helps when your trying to lay down some new leads over rhythm. The hardware is solid....What else would expect from a BOSS pedal. The only issues I have discovered is more on the user than the pedal. You MUST get your timing right or else the auto drum tracks will be off. Would purchase another if this one walks.
