Bower 42 mm-46 mm Lens For Canon (VL46B)

Great Item to use. Much loved cheaper alternative to Sony's own Brand. Comes in a loveley Carry purse string bag. Although this is an attachment to an existing lens. The qualilty is next to none. Although I am new to photography, the picture qualilty does not seem to be compromised. It can produce pictures as good as any I have seen on the Internet. Great product, reccomended. My only criticism being that it can be a little fiddly to fit, however a bit of time, care and patience goes a long way.

I bought this Bower Digital Super Wide 0.42x AF lens about a week ago. I used this with my NIKON D90. What interests me most in getting this lens is the fisheye effect that I wanted for my pictures, not knowing that as an adapter, it is a Super Wide lens. It works best if attached to an 18-55mm lens (this is what I have) or any zoom lens. Fisheye effect is achieved at 18-22mm and at 24mm the Super Wide Effect is achieved with a little distortion on the side of the picture. The fisheye effect is not visible if Bower Super Wide is used in a dedicated prime lens. For example a 35mm f/1.4 prime lens is attached with this Bower Super Wide and only a Wide Effect is achieved with a little distortion on the side.

I could have given this an excellent rating because it gives me the fisheye effect in which what I bought this for but my biggest problem is the clarity and the sharpness of the shot suffers much. This lens is good only for landscape shots, nature shots, or building shots but not as a group shot. This adapter lens is not good if you want details in your shot. The quality of the color also is greatly affected.

I could recommend this to my friends if they just want the fisheye effect. If you want the clarity, sharpness together with a good fisheye effect then this Bower Super Wide lens is not for you.

The Bower VL46B lens compliments and enhances the already great features of my Sony Nex 5 A/B. It perfectly matched with my existing 18-55mm zoom lens creating stunning wide angle pictures. I was able to creatively took photos with great effects using the lens fisheye feature. I have not tried the Macro yet but I'm sure it would be equally great as the fisheye effect. I would highly recommend this product.

Don't buy the other fisheye/wide angle lenses on ebay BUY THIS ONE! I have one of the other sort and this type blow it out of the water. The quality of the lens is far far better. Even supplied with a couple of adapter rings for different size lenses.
The end of the lens also has a filter thread so it is possible to use screw in or Cokin type square filters

I'm starting to get more and more into photography in the past year and because of that, am starting to build up quite a collection of lenses. This Bower fisheye lense is a perfect addition to my other lenses, allowing you not only to take panorama shots but also close up shots of very small items like diamond rings etc.

The price was what attracted me to the product, at less than £30, it is by far the cheapest fisheye lense I have seen on sale, and after looking through the information provided decided to buy it. I'm glad I did!

It helps create some stunning shots and will be ideal to take with you on days out and sightseeing. It's very small meaning it won't be a hassle to carry around with you, and is even supplied with its own pouch to keep it protected.

Overall a brilliant little lense for an amazing price. Well worth the money!
