I bought this DVD after seeing the parent of Teena Brandon on a talk show. This is a very compelling story, and tells the true story that could happen to anyone at anytime. It helped me to understand alot of things about the case and just how bad things around us are, and helped me to understand things I never have before. I highly recommend this item due to the story it tells.

I was shown bits of this movie in my Women's Studies class and had to go out to buy this movie. The story is so moving that you feel for Brandon and Lana so much. It really shows how bad our society can be, and I think that is important because we can all learn from their mistakes. Swank does an amazing job in this role, and it is such a great story.

the story was wonderfully told but I felt that the missed a few key points like the fact that a third person was killed. It is a moving story and should you know a person who is a Brandon type then you should show him this movie. Brandon wanted to be accepted yet he didn't fully accept himself and therefore he stole and committed a few crimes for which he was sought and possibly the reason that the police didn't act upon his report of rape. We all just want to be accepted and this movie shows that. I bought this movie because my house burned down and my movies were burned and I love this movie
