On Brave and Crazy, the throaty singer/guitarist/composer is slightly more reflective than on her first release, but no less confident. Nor is she is any less rootsy. Etheridge's earthiness is a large part of her appeal, and she uses it most advantageously on the gutsy rockers "Skin Deep" and "Let Me Go," as well as more reflective pieces such as "Testify," "You Used to Love to Dance" and "You Can Sleep While I Drive" (which, like a lot of Bruce Springsteen's songs, equates long drives with freedom and liberation). As introspective as things get on this CD, Etheridge never becomes wimpy or self-pitying. For all its vulnerability, Brave and Crazy is the work of someone who comes across as a survivor. ~ Alex Henderson

) I love Melissa Etheridge and I am trying to complete my collection of her CD's. Living in a small town like Camp Verde, AZ Wal-mart is about the closest store to go to buy and their selection out here for Melissa Etheridge is terrible. Only new CD's. Wal-mart is still a 30 minute drive to get to. So instead of driving to Phoenix ( one and a half hours) or Flagstaff, AZ (a 45 Minute drive) the e-bay is the next best thing. I was very leary of buying a used CD, but I really wanted this CD to add to my collection. The price was better that the stores would have sold it to me for, including the tax. Plus there is not one scratch or problem with the CD. I will surley buy a CD through ebay again.

it is melissa etheridge what is not to like! I love the CD. I like all of Melissa etheridges songs. I didn't know i was going to have to write a book when I started this or wouldn't have done it becasue I am not very good at this sort of things.

Brave and Crazy by Melissa Etheridge

Can never go wrong with Melissa!!!!!!!!!! I have almost all of her cd's now and can't wait to finish my collection. She pours her heart and soul into all of her work. She is amazing.

Great CD- my favorite songs are The Angels and You Can Sleep While I Drive- of course, I love anything by M.E.!
