Breville BOV800XL 1800 Watts Toaster Oven with Convection Cooking

My first toaster oven, so it appears to work pretty good. If you compare this unit to other less expensive models, you will immediately notice the physical differences. The Breville does not look cheap. My wife thinks it looks good on the counter top. It is a well built unit and the smooth mechanical operation is noticeable, when compared to other brands.

I was pleasantly surprised by the multicolor display (light blue for settings, amber for cooking) control feature. I also enjoy the memory feature of displaying your last used settings, which is pretty cool for repetitive uses such as Eggo waffles, bagels, reheating pizza, etc.

I've owned one other 'high end' box style toaster/cooking oven. It was uneven in its cooking and scorched the wood surface it was placed on due to not being properly bottom insulated (a problem more common with the 'cheaper' box style toaster ovens I'm told).. This unit is a dream come true! Plenty of room for this class of oven, cooks evenly throughout, easy to use LCD/dial choices, and cooks just like the big ovens, only at a fraction of the costs - especially nice for two people or small family use. The only negative I see with the Breville is it's the most expensive of the units class of ovens I compared and that originally put me off which is why I bought the comparable unit that cost less. Big mistake! Though the most expensive of the ovens I've purchased it has been worth every penny. Of course, had I not bought the prior unit and put my money on the Breville the overall costs would have been much more value oriented. And that's the point those reading this need to be aware of, spend the extra bucks and get the Brevill - the Rolls Royce of box style toaster/cooking ovens instead of spending twice the cost by going through another unit before coming full circle and buying this one when all is said and done.

A co-worker told me about this product and I'm so glad she did. I have had several good "toaster ovens" but this is by far the best. I was impressed with the look and feel of the oven the minute I removed it from the box. It is beautiful and very obviously superior to my previous ovens. So far, everything I have cooked has turned out perfectly. I still need to experiment with the convection during cooking but I can tell you this...it pre-heats in no time! This oven may cost more than others but so far, from my experience, it is well worth it!

after researching for toaster ovens, I decided on this one mainly due to the high ranking on Consumers Report recommendation. The oven works really well and very attractive to look at, however the construction materials seem cheap for the $249 price. It has many functions and can fit a large pizza. It bakes well and overall, I am happy with my purchase. The other brands are more sturdy and solid in their constructions.

We like the stainlesssteel look and the small size of this product.
This is a wonderful toaster convection oven, easy to use and the convection cook the food evenly and faster.
