The Joy of Hex.

Bullet Witch represents a kind of game we have all seen before -- great concept, poor execution.
Bullet Witch puts you in control of a vixen with a gun and magic power in a third person shoot-em-up. Unfortunately the game is marred by poor level design and unimaginative enemies. Levels are huge but they are so sparsely populated that it takes a good while to run from one set of enemies to another. Worse yet is when you actually run into an enemy is combat is hardly satisfying.
There are some good ideas in the game; eg. upgradable weapons and powers, a semi-decent story), good overall graphics and sound but they do not alleviate the fundamental flaw in the game. Simply put, this game is a bore-feast, even if you want it for achievement points.
Avoid this game as there any many better ones to choose from.

Guns + arcane magic = A decent shooter
Created: 07/05/07
Bullet Witch focuses on the witch Alicia, who uses her massive Gunrod to fend off zombie forces invading a large city. In addition to her nearly endless supply of ammo, Alicia as magics such as being able to call down thunderbolts, cause quick gusts of wind to knock enemies off balance, and conjure up walls to act as shields from enemy fire.
All in all, the game is pretty average fair for a third person shooter, but the addition of the game's magic system and Alicia's versatile Gunrod set this game apart from other shooters. Besides, who doesn't love watching a hot chick slaying zombie hordes? The one thing that could make this game a 5 out of 5 is if it had multiplayer. To make up for that, there is some downloadable content such as new costumes and extra levels. This game does warrant a playthrough or two, though. Be sure to check it out.

It's not WET or Bayonetta. Yet it has it's charms.

Bulletwitch is a title that has so much potential. The concept, design and overall play is still fairly good: for a game some called, "a tired game in a tired genere."
Although yes admitantly I was somewhat disapointed with the seemingly lack of finished or should I say rushed graphics (this title was one of the first for the new X-box 360 system). And at the first of the game you can dive and spin to dodge, but are unable to fire weapons when doing so (devil may cry style). That is an ungrade you can get later in the game, which makes little sense to me. Lastly some of the voice over work is down right sad. BUT! If you can look past the graphic flaws and some of the not clearly thought out dynamics, the game play is pretty fun for a "tired genere".
The weapon power-ups, the unique spells and the unlockable/downloadable costumes are all aspects of the game that make it playably fun. Not to mention the mysterious, attractive Alica.
If you are looking for another WET or Bayonetta this game will be a let down. But if you are just looking for a decent game at a very reasonable price (til the cost of WET and Bayonetta come down) then Bulletwitch is not such a bad choice.

Bullet Witch Xbox 360
Created: 17/03/07
I had two choices going through my head....Bullet Witch for the Xbox 360 and God of War II for the PS2. I had to go with Bullet Witch by Atari since I really wanted a next generation, although I have heard God of War II is the best game on the PS3 so far...LOL. Sony bring on some games, PLEASE......I need games for my PS3 investment.
Back to Bullet Witch...Alicia is a witch whom is saving towns for evil. I have only played the game for about an hour last night when I got it and I will be playing it again this morning. It reminds me of a version of Devil May Cry and Max Paine but with a female kick ass character. She has the ability to shoot and cast spells. The spells aren't easy to do, however once you get it down, going from shooting the enemies to beating them up with spells and blowing up the environment around you, its on and crackin'. :) Graphics are amazing with the fires and destruction of the environment. Play N Trade video game stores will let you let you try the game....so there is no excuse to try it before you buy it.
If you like games like the Devil May Cry, Castlevania and or Legend of Cain....you will for sure like The Bullet Witch by Atari. Platform Xbox 360 New $49.99

... Little is what I can say about this game.
First, I bought it because several years ago (I hadn´t a 360 back then) I saw a trailer of this game, and I actually liked it. Well, in fact I liked Alicia :), but that´s not the point. Some months ago I bought my Xbox 360, and of course now I should buy this game. And so I did.
This game have as many good points as bad ones. It´s true the graphics are not what they should be... but the Alicia´s graphics for the other side :)...
Anyway, if the game have the same mechanics as 2000 other games, is true too that shooting while casting spells is really fun. How I enjoyed when I used the shotgun and sent flying a demon/zombie! And the first time I casted the Lighting spell was really fun, the tank destroyed in a flash. And, I don´t know why, but the water pile at the nearby building fell, as in slow camera; I liked that scene a lot.
At the other hand, the enemies are really repetitive, but in compensation, the game has a fair dificulty setting that can maintain you focused on battle instead of just shooting and hitting at wathever moves.
I liked this game a lot (in fact I found it very addictive), but to be fair, this is not a 5 star game. If you are used to games like Resident Evil or Gears of War, you may not like this game, as it lacks the .... bucket.... the others had. But if you like simple games that offer some days of fun, (and if you like Alicia as well jejej), you may find this game entertaining enough to want it for your collection.
As final word: Bullet Witch is a must have for some kind of gamers, and thus not everyone will like it, so be carefull if you are planning to get it, as you may have really present what your likes are.
