Bunn NHBX-B 10 Cups Coffee Maker

We've gone through a lot of coffee makers for the home. None of them make coffee as good as the Bunn. This model is simple, brews fast and the flavor from batch to batch is consistently good. Never bitter.
We were made aware of the Bunn after a visit to my brother in Florida. We didn't know if it was the weather, sea, vacation or what. But he insisted it was the Bunn. Now we have one and can enjoy the same great cup of coffee in the Pacific Northwest.
If I had any complaints, it may be it's too simple. I don't like the fact the maker uses a pre-warming tank that is always on. It does come with a vacation switch, but then there is that tank of water that just sits there. It also has an On/Off warming plate switch but no automatic turn off, so you have to remember to turn it off whenever you leave the house.
Then there’s the coffee filters. The filter basket is much deeper than other home brands and we can’t find a grocery, drug or other store that carries these. We use a standard filter but you can’t brew more than 6 cups at a time or the grounds flow over the filter. We ordered taller ones online but they seem too short too.
Bottom line: If you want cup after cup of great coffee, get the Bunn. That’s why, in my opinion, this product is ‘Excellent’ despite the complaints I may have. If you don’t care what the stuff tastes like, then do something else.

Best coffee maker I ever owned! It makes delicious coffee and it's lightning fast. You can make 10 cups in about three minutes. Aroma, taste, temperature are all excellent. Very simple to use and clean. The only negative I have is that it requires more coffee per cup than other styles. But the results are well worth it! I'll buy another one when this one stops working. (Should be a long time. It is so simple it should last for years). My wife also likes the aesthetics, very good looking. (And she is picky!) Bunn filters are required, but they are easy to get since WalMart carries them.

Bunn always makes great products, and this one is no exception. It has a beautiful, sleek design that fits in with any decor. It is well-constructed, with a stainless steel reservoir, and brews the best coffee in less than 3 minutes!
The ONLY negative thing I could say about it, is that I find I have to use a few more coffee beans than I did with a "cone-shaped filter" brewer, but that's probably because I never make more than 4 cups at a time.
If you love coffee, this is a quality product for making it... Yes, it IS worth the $100 cost.

This is my second Bunn NHBX coffee maker. The first, after 8 years of use, was running a little slower (thanks to the heavy lime content of our local water), so I decided to get a new one for home and take the old one into my office. I have had all sorts of home coffee brewers over the years but none has ever perfomed like a Bunn and this model is no exception. The coffee brewer quickly and always has a great restaurant sort of taste to it...maybe that is because most good restaurants use Bunn commercial coffee makers. I would recommend the Bunn model NHBX to anyone who wants to brew up a great cup of coffee at home and do it without waiting FOREVER as is the case with most other coffee maker brands.

I am very happy with my Bunn coffee maker. I checked consumer reports first to see what they said, and they weren't too complimentary. I read the reviews from people who actually owned them, and they all gave this coffee machine high marks. Almost all restaurants use Bunn coffee makers, so I decided to give it a try. The pros are: it makes a pot of coffee in less then 3 minutes, the coffee is hot, it makes very good coffee. The cons might be that it must stay plugged in all the time because it constantly keeps water hot for your next pot. It doesn't have a timer, but who cares? Hope this helps.
