Caddyshack (Blu-ray Disc, 2010, 30th Anniversary)

Harold Ramis, Chevy Chase|Theatrical release: 1980 | Rating: R (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

Harold Ramis's directorial debut is a hysterical farce set at the typically hoity-toity Bushwood County club. A send-up of the typical class struggle, it pits the caddies against the establishment with riotous results. This wacky comedy features insanely funny performances from Bill Murray, as the local groundskeeper obsessed with killing off the gophers who are infesting the golf course, as well as Chevy Chase as a wealthy antiestablishment member of Bushwood and Rodney Dangerfield, who shines as a land-shark real estate mogul who couldn't care less about the rules and regulations at the snobby club.

Its "Caddyshack" what more do you need to know!

Hard to believe that its been 30 years since "Caddyshack" hit the screen. A few of the stellar cast have gone on to the big back nine in the sky: Ted Knight, Rodney Dangerfield to name a couple. By now you've either seen this movie and loved it, or have hated it, but its very hard to avoid. It mostly takes place on a snooty country club golf course lorded over by Ted Knight being, almost but not quite, Ted Baxter. He' bombastic, arrogant and generally a pain in the ass to everyone who works there. There's Bill Murray as the more than slightly deranged grounds keeper, Chevy Chase as the ne'er do well rich guy who just plays golf and doesn't give a rip about anything else, because he doesn't have to. Then there's Rodney Dangerfield as the nova riche developer that is as crude as Knight is suave; needless to say they don't get along. And we can't forget the gopher who's tearing up Ted's beloved greens accompanied by Kenny Loggins singing "I'm All Right." Add to that a group of horny young caddies, a little rich girl named Lacey Underalls and you've got quite a romp. It's vintage Chevy Chase and VERY funny; IF you like Chevy Chase. But Dangerfield is a hoot and so is Murray. Ted Knight is Ted Knight and that's just fine with me! Enjoy.

I love this movie. It is a comic masterpiece. Chevy Chase, Bill Murray, Rodney Dangerfield (at their prime), how can it be bad? IT CAN'T / IT ISN'T!!!!

I bought Caddyshack (Blu-ray disc, 2010, 30th Anniversery) because I wanted to add it to my classic collection of movies on blu-ray disc. The price was very comprtitive with other used movie dealers and ebay is in my opinion, the most trusted of all of them. Plus the movie just looks freaking awsome on my 55" Vizio.
