    Movie synopsis

Harold Ramis's directorial debut is a hysterical farce set at the typically hoity-toity Bushwood County club. A send-up of the typical class struggle, it pits the caddies against the establishment with riotous results. This wacky comedy features insanely funny performances from Bill Murray, as the local groundskeeper obsessed with killing off the gophers who are infesting the golf course, as well as Chevy Chase as a wealthy antiestablishment member of Bushwood and Rodney Dangerfield, who shines as a land-shark real estate mogul who couldn't care less about the rules and regulations at the snobby club.

    Caddyshack

    Created: 09/03/09
Caddyshack marks the first in Harold Ramis' (Groundhog Day, Analyze This) now-distinguished directorial career, and you have to give him credit -- he knows what's funny. This is one hilarious flick that's a certified classic for golfers, and pretty damn funny for almost everyone else.

Caddyshack takes place at an exclusive country club/golf course, which is typically overrun by eccentric golfers from all walks of life. Currently there's a caddy contest going on for the poor caddies of the course, and Danny Noonan (O'Keefe, The Slugger's Wife) sees it as his key to success.

While the plot isn't easily defined, and there's not very much structure to the overall story, the film is still laugh-out-loud hilarious, with many classic bits for the comic characters and moments to remember. Comedians Rodney Dangerfield (Little Nicky, The Projectionist) and Ted Knight (Countdown, The Mary Tyler Moore Show") showcase some of their best work as actors in this flick, and it's worth the price of admission alone to see them insulting each other mercilessly.

The fun doesn't end there though, as Bill Murray (Stripes, Tootsie) and Chevy Chase (Foul Play, Modern Problems) chip in some equally hilarious bits themselves. The caddies and their story do take a backseat to the big name talent, but the stars shine so bright that you're probably not likely to care anyway. It may be lowbrow, but that's jut part of the charm. Caddyshack is comedy done right.

Harold Ramis's directed this hilliarus movie starring Chevy Chase as Ty Webb. Rodney Dangerfield as Al Czervik, Ted Knight as Judge Elihu Smails, Michael O'Keefe as Danny Noonan and Bill Murray as Carl Spackler.

The movie centers around the lives of the caddy's who work at the Bushwood country club.

With this case full of the funniest comics in the industry at the time, this one does not disappoint and there are more laughs in this movie than you can imagine.

This one scores a 5 of 5 for a well acted, funny and fully enjoyable movie.

I can't believe no one else reviewed this movie before! One of the greatest comedy classics of all time. So many fuuny lines and scenes. If you have never heard a quote from this movie you might be living in isolation.
Bill Murray's defining role. Chevy Chase at his best (besides Fletch). Ted Knight is classis as Judge Smails!

    Noonan!
