Caddyshack (DVD, 2000, 20th Anniversary Edition)

Honestly i hadn't seen this movie until just recently at a local screening, and then when i did, the second i got home i had to order it (luckily i found it cheap on eBay, naturally) because it was SO freaking funny! Rodney Dangerfield is at his finest with his politically incorrect one liners, and absolutely brilliant dance moves, its even enough to rival him in Back to School, if you can believe it! Everyone else is great too, Chevy Chase is hysterical, Ted Knight is always great but ESPECIALLY in this, no one plays an uptight white guy better! Bill Murray is ... well Billy Murray, i don't have to say anything else, he's one of the all time greats.
As far as special features go on the disc, "You'll get NOTHING and like it!", ok its not that bad, theres a documentary which is pretty cool and a trailer or so, but i would have loved to hear a commentary from any one of the people who were responsible for this masterpiece of low brow comedy.
For the price, and even though the features are slim (hoping for a really great super edition that probably will never come!) Everyone definitely needs to own this movie, if not just to understand what everyones been quoting for the last 20 some years. If you are worried that you might have to like or know something about golf to like this movie, you definitely don't! Quit reading this and go buy it already! YOU WONT BE DISAPPOINTED, I GUARANTEE* IT!

*NOTE, guarantee is in no way an ACTUAL guarantee, because you may be the uptight type to own several copies of the English Patient and Gosford Park on dvd you may not agree with me. Although if i was a doctor** I'd recommend you to lean over, gently pull the stick out of your rectum and go at least rent this movie...it might do you some good.

It's hard to believe there's anyone out there of legal age that hasn't seen this one yet. But if you haven't, SEE IT. Filled with Hilarious performances by Rodney Dangerfield, Chevy Chase, and especially BILL MURRAY, this is side-splitter that I never get tired of. Ted Knight (rest his soul)has probably never gotten enough credit for his equally hilarious portrayal of a bumbling, uptight elitist judge...so I have to give him BIG KUDOS.

I disagree with the review that said this is a good family movie, though....there's a reason for the R rating. But our young teens have enjoyed the edited-for-tv version. Either way, it just gets funnier and funnier. A true classic!!!

This is one of my favorite films. I love the soundtrack and the many stars with their slapstick humor will keep you laughing. Some of the scenes are not appropriate for younger family members, but that's why the TV version was clipped.
Chevy Chase and Bill Murray use their SNL style while Rodney Dangerfield keeps up with his dark humor. I wanted this film for my DVD collection so I could watch it anytime without the interruption of commercials.
I would rate this up with Airplane and Mars Attacks as great for some good time laughter and a great pick-me-up for the blahs! Watch it today!

Caddy Shack is an all-time classic comedy---Rodney Dangerfield, Bill Murray, Chevy Chase and Ted Knight on top of their games.

I hadn't watched the movie, Caddyshack for a number of years. Chevy Chase was so darn funny with trying to get rid of the gopher on the golf course.
I thought this movie would be a good one to watch for my son, who is deployed overseas. I'm pretty sure this movie made a few military personnel laugh over the holidays.
This is just another hilarious movie that Chevy Chase acts in!!
