    This book has everything you need to know about cake baking. It also includes other recipes such as sweet breads, fillings, frostings, etc. The information is detailed and easy to understand. The directions are clear and consise, so it's like having a pastry chef in your kitchen to instruct you. There is much added information about ingredients and how they interact with each other. It includes a section on equipment and its use. It also includes large volume recipe's for wedding cakes as well as invaluable tips and preperation information. I love this book and have bought one for each of my daughters as well as for other family and friends.

    The only cake book you'll ever need

    The Cake Bible offers a variety of cake recipes for butter cakes, genoise, egg-foam. Even pancakes and waffles. There are also dozens of recipes for frostings, glazes, and fillings. And if that isn't enough, there is tons of information on cake baking basics:ingredients, utensils, the hows and whys of cake baking. The author doesn't just present recipes, she gives background information on why the recipe works. She offers suggestions for how to pair a cake with a frosting. She also offers a new way to mix a cake to prevent one from over-mixing the batter. Her way can be adapted to ANY cake recipe and the cake is pretty much guaranteed to come out tender, moist, and absolutely delicious.

    it is the cake bible.

    If you are into baking, this the first cookbook to get, the Author teaches you step by step with instructions that are easy to understand and concise, She has the ingredent listed three ways for measuring and that is for the baker from beginner to advanced, where you have a scale of not, wether you are measuring in grams or not. this is the best stater cookbook for Cakes. And it will be a gift to all of my children at some time for them to experience the kitchen with Rose.................

    A must have for any baker!

    I had this book for about ten years now but it finally gave out on me; you know the buttercream and chocolate on the pages etc. I knew that eventhough the book was well loved, it was time to replace it so I bought another one. I make the wedding cakes and celebration cakes for generations of our family (which is larger than most). I use this book to make the wedding cakes taste good. Many of them from bakeries taste crummy or are dry. This book is filled with tips, tricks, do's and don'ts. It isn't really for beginners a bit that I like about it. I don't have to go through instructions on whipping and folding or other novice instructions. There is nothing wrong with learning how to bake, but for those who already know that their baking rocks- this book will take your baking to another level. It's professional grade.

    A must have for the Cake Baker!

    This is a very detailed book about baking Cake,
    it tells you the rules and things to avoid and things to be aware of when baking your favorite cake. It also tells you what you need in terms of tools and proper preparation, The only negative I could say is, It can be a bit intimidating especially for the first time cake baker HOWEVER that is the beauty of this book- It is basically your guide to make a perfect cake-JUST Follow the example and you'll have that Triple Layer Devil's Food Cake in no time.
