Canon EOS Rebel T3 / 1100D 12.2 MP Digital SLR Camera - Black (Kit w/ EF-S IS II 18-55mm Lens)

This is my first dSLR camera. Always wanted to take some controlled pictures rather than depending on luck (for point n' shooters) always.
I bought this one totally relying on reviews from ebay, amazon & some other websites.
So far so good, the camera is serving me way better than any of my PnS cams did. For some experience of what I did with Rebel T3 you could try flickr.com/photos/kiching where I've uploaded some photos.
The camera has some wonderful features, such as Digic 4 CMOS sensor, a nice 12.2 Megapixel image resolution. 9 focus points. Most of all I says what it does & does what it said for the price. With EF & EFS lenses avaiable you do have a lot of choices for lenses.

Pros:
1. Cheap price, worthy features.
2. Grips well.
3. Awesome picture quality.
4. Long battery life (Avg 600-700 RAW)
5. Lot of lens options.
6. 3 Exposure Bracketing.
7. HD Video (720p) capable.

Cons:
1. Image resolution could be higher.
2. Plastic body(well this is where Canon saved me a lotta money tho)
3. No wireless capability (Flash or photo shoot)
4. No external Mic capable.

Amazing, simple and affordable. This is and excellent choice for the money. My family reunion pics are professional grade and I'm NOT a pro. Software includes numerous tricks to crop and enhance pics. Top-end quality, expandable with different lenses and produces remarkable images. The IS makes shots clear and sharp.

Camera was purchased for my 14 year old daughter as entry into photography. Excellent beginner camera with great features. This camera will allow her to grow before purchasing expensive models. I will purchase more expensive lenses as the learning curve continues upward. I've even borrowed the camera for sporting events and pictures are excellent. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a quality camera at an affordable price. Our smaller hand held cameras are great, but after using my daughters, I'm ready to ditch them and purchase a Canon for ourselves.

this product was purchased as a gift for my wife. i've had little experience with this product, but it seems to be a quality item. what pictures i have taken are very good and the camera has many features to help you take the types of shots you want. i would say the value was just average because canon obviously sets the prices anyone can charge just like so many name brands do nowdays.

Good if you just want to shoot, very slimmed down in terms of features though! Doesn't have IR remote option, and shoots slower than a XSI, don't know what good it is for except it can record movies!!!! haha Well I am keeping my XSI and selling this T3 just because I can say it does feel cheaper and takes pictures slower than my XSI. Image quality is the same, the only thing that this thing does is movies which the XSI doesn't but the XSI has a lot more features like automatic sensor cleaning, IR remote support etc.
