Canon PIXMA Pro 9000 MARK II Digital Photo Inkjet Printer

Since my Canon i950 still prints wonderfully after 8 years, I decided to go with the Canon PIXMA 9000 Mark II instead of replacing my two year old Epson 1400's print head. Great decision. This is a wonderful printer. It is very easy to set up; has excellent instructions and prints professional quality 3+ size color photos. In my experience, it is also a very fast printer. I might wish for a 9500 Mark II for B&W in addition to this printer, but not as a replacement to it. This is a five star product. I have no negatives, other than the cost of ink, because I don't want to risk it to third party ink (I'm chicken!), but any criticism of the cost of Canon's ink applies to other OEM inks as well. I have made it a point to use excellent paper with this printer.

The Canon Pro 9000 Mark II Digital Photo is a fantastic photo printer. It's very big so make sure you have space. If you are going to use big paper, you need several inches behind the printer too. This printer is not a network ready printer! It only has a USB connection. I put it on my network after I spent another $50 for a Hawking USB print server. If ethernet or wireless network connectivity is an issue, you might want to look at something else.

The Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II was my first photo printer purchased it took me two months of research to pick the right printer.Im very happy with the quality of the print and how easy it is to work. Its fast and quiet and has great quality in detail. I will recomend this printer to anyone who is looking for a great photo copier. The price is well worth for what u get.

I purchased the Canon Pixma 9000 Mark ll about a month ago and have been quite satisfied so far. Sometimes it takes a while to get the color and settings adjusted correctly. I like the large print format. Easy to use. I would recommend this printer to others.

I purchased to replace a Epson R1800 which was a great printer but was unable to get print heads replaced through Epson repair center. Evidently Epson has discontinued parts for this model. My research on the Canon Pixma Pro 9000 Mark II stated that when needed print heads can be user replaced, which makes sense, upon delivery you install the printhead (quick and easy) and then install the ink cartridges.

I have printed several large photos taken with a Canon 5d and the results were beautiful, every bit as good if not better than my old Epson, but only slower. The only thing I miss is that the Epson also would print on printable CD/DVD disks. I still use it for that feature. The Canon model sold over seas has that capabilty but is disabled for sale in the United States.

I would recommend this printer to anyone searching for a large format printer.
