) This album from the Silversun Pickups demonstrates their talent at creating trance like beats that compliment sublime lyrics. All of the songs are addicting for their own reasons. When I initially listened to the album I did not like all of the songs, but after listening to the album several times I cannot choose one song that I dislike.
I would definately recommend this album to fans of what I call 'California indie rock' because this group definately fits the bill.
I would buy another album from this group without a second thought. Unless they try to re-invent themselves to be more mainstream (something that I would NOT recommend) they will grow in popularity for what they are.

) I'll get strait to the point with this album. It hardly took me any time at all to get into. I loved this album from the start and can hardly put it down. One of the best CD's I've heard in a long time and I think this group has plenty of room to grow. People who have heard me listening to this record have told me Swoon is just as good. It didn't take me long before I went out and bought that album. Simply because I don't want to wear out this album too soon. If you haven't heard this record yet. It's worth every penny. It's not cheep to get like a lot of other music, but it's well worth it's price.

The silversun Pickups are GREAT live! i love all of their songs! Their best song, in my appinion is "Lazy Eye"!

I saw these guys in concert this year opening for Muse. The two seem to have pretty distinctive styles, and are probably most alike because of their unconventional vocals. I found them to be intriguing and after demoing both this and Swoon, I decided I'd like to own a copy of Carnavas. I am very happy with my choice!
If you enjoy rock and are okay with being a little adventurous, definitely try this album out.
