The Carol Burnett Show - Let's Bump Up the Lights! (DVD, 2005)

I bought this DVD as a Christmas gift for my wife. he absolutely loves the old Carol Burnett shows and I thought that this would be a nice gift.
She absolutely loved it and I was happy that I chose this one.
The cast of the show reunite for an evening of memories of their favorite skits and they are hilarious. They give you insite for some of the most memorable scenes spanning the show's run on CBS.
Watching this DVD brings back many memories and is great to enjoy with your kids, as it is excellent family entertainment.

This is my favorite DVD for 2 BIG reasons!
First that I have been a huge Carol Burnett fan ever since I was a very young teenager.
The second reason I like this DVD is because I'm on it. That's right some 37 or 38 years ago I was in the audience and during the question and answer period, I read a poem I wrote about Carol Burnett and that clip was used in each reunion show and even made it to the DVD for "Bump Up The Lights"!!
Carol Burnett, you will always be my favorite!!!!!

The all showed up for this show Vicki, Harvey, Tim and even Lyle Wagner was there. some people dont even remember him being on the show, but I do, I think I saw ever Carol burnette show ever made.. she was. is and will always be in my eyes the QUEEN on Comedy. no filth needed, no cursing, no nudity, no sex, no killing .. pure fun wwith out all the garbage that goesinto todays comedies.. you can't make a comedy today and sell it without sex, filth, partial nudity .. they wont even let it on TV without at Least one of those. I wrote in my other review of her other show that its sad that our kids of today would never get to know what true comedy is. its very sad. she will always be a bright shinming spot in the world of TV comedy.

ALL THE MAJOR PLAYERS - MANY MANY HIGHLIGHTS - DO NOT MISS THIS ONE !!!!! CAROL - HARVEY KORMAN - VICKI LAWRENCE - TIM CONWAY - LYLE WAGGONER - THEY ARE ALL AT THEIR CRAZIEST AND AT THEIR BEST !!!!!

If you like Carol Burnett you will really like this DVD. It is a great look back at all her best moments during the question and answer period at the beggining of the show. It was much more fun than I thought it would be. Carol is amazingly fast on her feet and milks every question for the most laughs. This DVD does show clips from the skits on her show. It is strictly the questions and answers. But still very, very funny.
