There are some games that simply cannot be explained on paper. From the epic, Pan's Labyrinth-esque character and level designs to the masterfully crafted combat that fits like a glove, this game nails both fun and awe for the player. Difficult to master, the combat pushes the player to hone his skills in evasion and careful timing, eliminating the mindless "hack n slash" feel for something a little more tactical. Each combo feels worthy of a fist pump, and this game is not one to be short on adrenaline rushes or those prime moments where you set down the controller and think "That was badass". The story is a simple tale of love lost and revenge sought, and its conclusion is arguably one of the most satisfying conclusions in a video game this decade. Do not let the rush of holiday purchases or more high profile releases overshadow this diamond in the rough.

its a great game if i didnt have work id be playing nonstop. i just wish they would try to go back to the old days of sotn or at least try and make gameplay similar or story similar...darn konami...haha all in all its a wonderful game. beautiful graphics and rain effects. and fun action packed gameplay. i could do without the fixed camera sometimes..but i got used to it!
