Thundering Voices, Warms the Heart, Heals the Soul

Wonderful! Beautiful music! This Cd is Excellent in all its content! The first song, "Heartland" the roll of thunder from the drums to the violins as it comes to a climax of voices in chorus. From young to old five voices raise to the the heavens a roar of a haunting cry from an old Celtic past. "The Mountains of Mourne", a story of a persons personal journey through life. The beautiful soothing voice of Keith Harkin you can almost picture the tale he tells through song and music.
"The Voyage" a sailors tell upon the water upon a ship or boat, a cheerful story of two people working together in harmony. The music in this song is soft but touching at the sametime. "Come By the Hills", a beautiful voice of a young man singing in native tongue; slowly transforms your mind into a land of green and warm summers with two people sharing a moment in time.
"Remember Me (Recuerdame) and "Desperado", The sad story of true love left behind while, "Desperado" offers a warnders tale of time and loneliness.
" Steal Away", five voices in harmony with no music but that of their own voices. A person voyage through time and whether you win or loose.
"The Island", A song of love in land and life, a special song not meant to be sad but happen for the love of one person for another.
" The Old Man " and " Brother in Arms", First one talks about a father figure and a son looking up to a dad, a lad that was sad he wasn't there anymore but happy for his memories. "Brother in Arms", a battle of sacred lands together side by side brothers in arms marching proudly across the lands defending their homes.
" Local Hero" This one is instrumental but enjoying to hear. A solo flute starts this song off with a short melody of violins then kicks into gear with a up beat tone making you wish your were free to wander the country side alone.
"Lauren & I", ever had a true love? Then you'll relate to this song, it touches my soul and brought a tear to my eye when I listened to this song. A sad soul wondering why and what happened to his love for his other, his true love.
" She ", a very sad song with equally sad music.
" Ireland's Call " A very, very haunting solo flute with voices singing, 'Ireland', to the roll of thunder in the drums. A Celtic Thunder of voices and an Anthem to that of Ireland! I can see this part of the show and voices raised in praise to their country. Sing it proud! Ireland! Ireland!
Now the bonus track: " Puppy Love " for those of you that remember this song as a teenager this young man, Damian McGinty, has a beautiful voice for such a young man. I believe the first time I saw this show on tv they said he was only 12 years old! But this young man as a huge voice for such a small frame! Makes you want to cry when you hear this song sung to you.
For anybody out their that love Celtic music and wants an Excellent Cd to listen to then this one is right for you! Celtic Thunder CD has excellent pictures on the cover and the music is very enjoying.
Warms the Heart and Heals the Soul I recommend this cd to who wants to listen to Celtic music.

This music is soothing to my soul. These four men and one teenager sing beautiful harmony in addition to their solos. George brings tears to my eyes when he sings The Old Man. I love Paul's rendition of Remember Me. The Island by Keith is also a favorite. The group's performance of Ireland's Call makes me want to stand up and cheer.
I had not heard of this group until I saw them on PBS television. I enjoyed the show so much that I began looking for the CD and DVD in local stores. When I could not find it locally, I turned to eBay and was able to get both at a reasonable price and am enjoying them immensely. Now if someone could just get Celtic Thunder and Celtic Woman together for a performance it would be awesome.

An exhilarating show worth watching!

This performance has all of the components of a terrific show: smoke, lighting, tasteful clothing, excitement, 5 good looking guys with 5 very different voices that can harmonize like no other, a beautiful girl who is involved in a love triangle, laughter, classic songs and unique songs. The show starts out with a powerful song called Heartland, then goes into a fun little diddy called Raggle, taggle gypsy. Young love is a classic with a bit of humor from the cast, really funny actually. Caledonia is another powerful one. Some familiar songs are; Desperado, I want to know what love is and Puppy Love. This show truely has it all and is a joy for the whole family to watch over and over again. There is also a cd so that you can take the music of Celtic Thunder with you. Congratulations to Sharon Browne and Phil Coulter on putting together such a wonderful show.

I bought this CD after seeing the Celtic Thunder Show on PBS because it captivated me. The music is so beautiful with the use of the Tin Whistle and being of Irish heritage myself it took me to Ireland although I have never been. Since I received it I have listened to it countless times and it still gives me goosebumps. If you love the sound of a Tin Whistle as much as I do then you will definately want to buy this CD just because the song Mountains of Mourne has a beautiful use of the whistle. This is an excellent CD to buy if you want to take a trip to Ireland without having to actually go anywhere!!

A must for any real fan of music

I love most forms of music but have been very let down in the last few years by what has been force fed to me on the radio and tv. I happenned accross this show on puplic television and was so impressed by the shear talent, heart and over all worthyness of this sound in my life. the vocalists where auditioned from around 700 men and it shows. a prfect orchestra and arrangement with vocal talents I have yet to see matched in my 32 years on this planet and surounded by musician friends. From traditional celtic songs to well known classics like Puppy Love,Desperado, and Sail Away this cd will be tresured among my collection for all time.
