Celtic Thunder is amazing. They are a group of individual voices who sound great together and who can harmonize like no other. They are not a boy band. This show has all of the qualities of a great show; entertainment, great voices, great song choices, lighting, smoke, fighting over a beautiful girl, classic Irish music, and songs most people will recognize. This show is for all ages. My 3 yr. old son and 4 1/2 yr. old daughter adore it and watch and listen to it often (it's also available in CD). Heartland is a powerful song to start of the show, Young love adds humor, That's a woman and Heartbreaker add drama, Remember Me show's off Paul's angelic voice, The Old man is emotional for many and Desperado, well, who doesn't know that classic; Ryan does a fantastic version of it. The 5 men of celtic thunder are all very talented and good - looking. Sharon Browne and Phil Coulter did an amazing job of putting this entire show together. This is a must have for all households!

Celtic Thunder: The Show (2008, DVD

We watched this on our PBS station. It was so awesome. The music and words just seem to wash over you. The performers are fantastic. They bring this concert to a new level. This is a great DVD for the whole family. Mine is probably going to have to be replaced soon as we have played it so much. there are also songs on the DVD not included on the CD. Just a truly wholesome show.
Phil Coulter & Sharon Brown have outdone themselves. Phil Coulter has written some of the songs and they are beautiful. Then Keith Harkin's song-Lauren & I, could be a hit single here now. Just great talent all the way through.

Totally Awesome!

We watched the Celtic Thunder show that aired back in March on television and just loved it! My family could hardly wait for the DVD to be released and arrive after we ordered it. There is something for all ages. The five men range in age from 14 to 40, so everyone in my family can relate to at least one of the men. You have George who sings about family; you have Paul (who is a very well educated singer) who sings in the most beautiful tenor voice; you have Ryan who sings songs that have sort of that "rebel" flavor; you have Keith who plays the guitar, wrote one of the original songs, and is very appealing to the eye; you have Damion, who is the youngest in the group, but has an awesome voice and audience appeal. Everyone in my family has a different "favorite" in the group, although we like them all. Even though they each have their own unique style, when they come together to sing, you will hear the most awesome blend of voices. Their song "Steal Away" is my favorite song that they do together. Also, they sing oldies, contemporary songs, originals, and a few Irish tunes as well. The types of songs are very appealing too. This is one of the top 3 DVDs that I have ever purchased and we cannot wait to see the live show!

Awesome Production !!!

Created: 16/06/08
The production of Celtic Thunder is a very exceptional show.

The music, the set and the voices were performed spectacularly.

Anyone of Irish and/or Scottish Heritage needs to own this DVD show.
If you are not of Irish and/or Scottish decent, I'm sorry, but you should own it too. You will not be disappointed with it and it will let you enjoy some traditional Irish Ballads and Scottish Ballads as well as other world renowned songs performed with a little different flair than we are used to hearing.

If you have enjoyed any or all of the Celtic Women shows, you will not be disappointed with this show either. It is on the same excellent level as the Women.

All the performers are professional and harmonize really well together.
The song selection was perfect and the orchestra was awesome. I don't believe I have one bad thing to say about this show.

The song " Lauren and I " written and performed by Keith Harkin is a simple, but very heartfelt love song. The song played with the 68 piece orchestra is vey well done. Keith is a up and coming talent to be reckoned with.

I can't say that I have one specific or favorite performance, I'd have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed it all !!!

I hope you do too !!!

Cheers !!!!

This DVD was a good introduction as to who & what Celtic Thunder are about.

Created: 17/04/11
This DVD was purchased after watching Celtic Thunder Heritage on PBS. I wanted to compare their first program to the recent broadcast.

I like that The Show opens with the same song as on Heritage, but with a little more drama in the production. It also has 3 same songs as on Heritage. There are more songs performed here, however, a few of them are not what you would consider traditonal celtic music.

If you like listening to instruments that produce a pretty sound, you should not be disappointed in the orchestra and small band that accompany the singers.
