Charlie's Angels (DVD, 2001, Special Edition)

Joseph McGinty, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore|Theatrical release: 2000 | Rating: PG-13 (MPAA)

Movie synopsis

Based on the babe-a-licious show from the 1970s, CHARLIE'S ANGELS is a defiantly goofy action movie featuring plenty of comedy and a strong sense of girl power. Three talented young women work for the mysterious Charles Townsend: Natalie (Cameron Diaz), the bubbly blond science expert; Dylan (Drew Barrymore), the rebellious tomboy; and Alex (Lucy Liu), the tough Angel who has trouble telling her boyfriend that she's a highly skilled secret agent. The Angels are assigned to locate Eric Knox (Sam Rockwell), a kidnapped computer expert whose new software could threaten global security if it were to fall into the wrong hands. The women go undercover to investigate this devious tycoon and are faced with double crosses, explosions, and the mysterious Thin Man. From the acclaimed music-video director McG (Joseph McGinty), CHARLIE'S ANGELS wastes little time on plot, instead presenting audiences with a series of spectacular MATRIX-style fight sequences, car chases, and stunts. Diaz, Barrymore, and Liu as the three Angels give terrific performances worthy of a new breed of female action hero, kicking major butt while remaining lovable and sexy. The movie also stars Bill Murray as the Angels' mentor, Bosley, and John Forsythe as the voice of Charlie.

Charlie's Angels & Cosme's Angel:

Created: 02/03/09
This flick is sooo fun :). I've never been particularly atracted to Cameron D., but I found that if she has realy dark hair, I tend to be. But I've always found her to be very funny. Lucy's great. And, my little angel- Drew B., is always so feminine. No matter what she's doin. The affects are well-done, and fun to watch. I'm gonna get part 2, with Demi bein a real "B" :o. I liked when LL Cool J made the comment in the beggining, about watching another film about a 70's tv show. And how they occlude his identity from the viewers for a bit. Bill Murry fits in ok. Nice musical score.

I like the Orignal TV Angels Better....

I like the Orignal TV Angels Better.... but this was still a fun Big Screen Movie!

Lucy Liu was great in her role, Cameron Diaz was more than eye candy, and the action was fine.

A good movie to rent, maybe you could sneak it into a 'chick flick' night with your significant other!

Charlie's Angels (DVD, 2001, Special Edition) - GREAT!

Created: 25/06/09
It's an awesome movie, and this Special Edition is definitely worth it. It includes deleted scenes, backstage insights and very cool commentary by McG.
I really like this, it has very good quality also, and I think the special edition adds a lot to it, it usually can't be rented.
Would definitely buy again, and it's a movie you can watch millions of times, very fun and has really nice colors.

GREAT MOVIE

Created: 11/09/07
I loved this movie when it came out...kind of campy with some glamour in it...Lucy Liu, Cameron Diaz and Drew Barrymore work together so wonderfully in this movie. If you haven't seen it, it's a must for your collection! I had to have it on DVD.
