Product description

Synopsis
Bright, bold, and rhythmic, CHICKA CHICKA BOOM BOOM is an imaginative and fun introduction to the letters of the alphabet. Like excited children, the lowercase letters of the alphabet engage in a daring race to the very top of the coconut tree. All seems to be going well, but once the entire alphabet has made the climb, their collective weight proves to be too much for the skinny tree and so it bends, causing all the letters to fall out of the tree. Chaos ensues--the "d" has a skinned knee, the "j" and "k" are near tears, and the "p" has a black eye--but, with the help of the more adult uppercase letters, all is eventually settled and the letters drift off to sleep as the moon rises behind the coconut tree. However, just as the story is about to end, little "a" attempts to goad the other letters into yet another race. Although the illustrations showcase lowercase letters, readers will also be introduced to the uppercase, as the text uses them and the endpapers features both the upper- and lowercase alphabet. Colorful illustrations featuring tropical greens, bold oranges, and bright pinks accompany the lively text.

Alphabet Letters Go BOOM!

Created: 21/09/06
Each letter of the alphabet is running up to the top of the coconut tree saying, "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Will There Be Enough Room?" At the end of the story, the weight is too much for the coconut tree and all the letters go BOOM!

Children will love to repeat this rhyming text. A great way to learn the letters of the alphabet.

Wonderful little book

Created: 12/01/11
This is a wonderful little book that our kids love. They like to read along to the beat, and they love to see the colorful illustrations of the letters all doing their thing. It is well worth the price of just a few dollars to experience so much joy with our children. We have memories that will last our lifetimes.

"Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" Makes learning fun

Created: 20/12/10
I love "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin, John Archambault. I would read this book to my daughter when she was a baby and by the time she was 18 months old, and she could talk, she could sing her ABC's. Now with my son, he is struggling to learn his ABC's, so I decided to purchase a new copy and he too is learning. Kid's learn when they are having fun, and being a home school mom I stand by that principle, make it fun! "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom" by Bill Martin, John Archambault makes it fun!

Good Purchase

Created: 15/11/10
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is a wonderful book to share with PreK-1st. I have been looking for a big book copy of the book and found this one on ebay. Children love to hear and interact with this book over and over again. Having a big book version is great for sharing the story with a group. Then, of course, you should have several regular size copies available for the children to use.
