Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (DVD, 2009, Dove O-Ring)

A wonderful DVD for all ages with great acting and a musical score that is easy to sing along with. How many times I can remember singing Truly Scrumptious and of course the title song, and many others in the beautiful score. Truly a classic not to be shared with the young as the store is universal and we all have our dreams and fantasies. Hard to believe that the original story is written by Ian Fleming, also the writer of all the James Bond stories, but when you think about the same intrigue is in this movie as well as all the Bonds. Highly recommended viewing.

Sweet, sad tale of a poor motherless family with a rather eccentric inventor dad (Dick Van Dyke); a car he tinkers with so that it drives, flies & floats; and the mum they've been wanting (an heiress to a candy factory). There is also a strange sub-plot about a war, but it isn't important to the overall story. Chitty Chitty Bang Bang we love you !

Grew up watching this movie. It's great to have to bring to the next generation, my 2 year old and his 2 year old cousin love it and is their new favorite movie. Great family film, even people who aren't musical fans should watch this with the kids or by themselves. Has great plot and Dyke Van Dyke is amazing. Nice to have a movie with intermission helps bring back an old time feel and lets get snack refills without missing anything :)

I watched this movie in a friend's house before. It was so good that I decided to buy it. My 3 &4 year old sons love it. They watched it 5 times already (in 2 weeks). There are a lot of songs in it, and Van's (the main actor)porformance is just amazing. I would give 5 star to this movie.

DVD arrived in good shape, a little used, slightly worn. Have not seen it all the way thru, but what I have seen has been great! No skips, color is gorgeous, like brand new. Excellent! Brings back memories of younger days, more carefree days and the knowledge that miracles do happen. Gives you that happy, youthful feeling that anything is possible. Love this movie, so do my grandkids, SURPRISE! SURPRISE! Thank you very much.
