CD Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Attic "BEST"

Created: 05/06/07
I recently bought the CD of The Trans-Siberian Orchestra called The Christmas Attic. This is a story type of CD from the group's Christmas Rock Opera format. The Trans-Siberian has 3 or 4 Christmas Rock Operas that they do, and this one, "The Christmas Attic", is by far the best. It's got awesome songs in it that are familiar to us with a flair and songs that are new. The story line in this is touching, not to give it all away but an angel is sent from heaven on Christmas eve with nothing, but has to leave something lasting on earth by Christmas. The angel is distracted by a young girl who is trying to justify Christmas and is in her attic to see Santa. The angel uses a trunk there to bring several items and feelings of the heart of Christmas to the girl. The songs and story of the CD depict that. A book is included that has all the words and story line. This is a wonderful addition for anyone. This has the song where the children sing with the "Cannon" that had been played on the radio at Christmas. I was impressed with the quality of the item..just like brand new. I had The Christmas Attic CD already in my collection so I knew what to expect and this one was a gift for a person. It Mint condition and was proud to give it as a gift and it was very inexpensive. I am very impressed with it all and my friends are enjoying it. I do highly recommend this item.

Amazing sound - not just for Christmas

Created: 31/03/07
With this amazing and soothing sound Trans-Siberian Orchestra has once again hit the perfect tone for Christmas. However, these sounds are so wonderful that I not only listen to them during Christmas time, but also year round. Classic made in an unusual and modern way, great to calm nerves and get the feeling set for a new day! This music is a great way to relax with familiar sounds but new rythms and sounds...

Traditional Music in Non-Traditional Style

Created: 12/12/06
TSO has been producing rock-influenced Christmas music for some time, and every one of its albums is stunning.

Not every piece is a rock number, by any means; in fact, one of the best on this album is Christmas Canon, a choir/orchestral version of Pachelbel's Canon so movingly performed that it could bring tears to your eyes. The curious, sometimes unexpected blend of rock, vocals, choir and orchestra puts a new spin on every song. There is something for everyone on this album--traditional songs, with a fresh approach and perspective.

The Christmas Attic - TSO

Created: 08/12/06
The music that the Trans-Siberian Orchestra plays, is the most rich, full, beautiful music since Beethoven, with rock and roll mixed in. The songs are all full of orchestration, harmonies, and sure to be classics, but oh, so different than the "traditional" Christmas songs. Very powerful music. My persoanl favorite is "The world that she sees". The reason I purchased it was for the full orchestration that is in all their music. I was tired of the same old songs year after year. These are very unique.

uplifting, very catchy to listen to

Created: 09/12/08
the music on this CD is very inspiring to me especially when you follow along wiith the words, that are included with the CD. I liked the layout of the program that came with it, especially the story at the beginning and the poem. The whole CD follows a story line and you can imagine it without even being in the theater. The music sweeps you into another world, another place, another time, and brings about emotions that make you feel warm, sad, happy, uplifted, joyous, and sympathetic. I will read this to my children and listen to the CD for years to come. My daughter wanted this CD for her Christmas gift and I ordered one also because I love to buy new Christmas music and always buy a new music every year. This will be fast to become my favorite. I love the Christmas Canon and have to replay it a couple times over when I play this CD.
Not the usual Christmas music, so it is very appealing to almost everyone but it still holds the Christmas message that everyone can relate to Christmas.
