The Christmas Box is the perfect holiday story. It is a short read and a true story which helped me start a New Christmas Tradition with my Daughter each year. I love old boxes, trunks, train cases and often wonder about the places they have been and the treasures they have held. Each year I choose an old box and fill it with treasures for my daughter, lock it and give her husband the key for her to open Christmas morning. As the book says, "The Christmas Box remains a source of great joy to me, for though it appears empty, to me it contains all that Christmas is made of, the root of all the wonders in a childs eyes, and the source of magic of Christmases for centuries to come. More than giving, more than believing, for these are the mere manifestations of the contents of the box. The sacred contents of that box are a parents pure love for child, manifested first by a Fathers love for all his children, as he sacrificed that which he loved most and sent his son to earth on Christmas day so long ago. Thia ia great read. Very inspiring. This author really has a gift for writing. His descriptions make you feel like you are there. He really brings the pages to life. He has a unique writing style that is real special. Also this is a great series that is short enough to read in a evening or sunday afternoon. Is my favorite author to date..
