Being someone who has always trimmed the fat off of expenses after realizing I don't really benefit from all the frills and add ons, I would say this book is a great guide to people who just don't have the ability to see where they're throwing away good money. I'd almost done everything the book outlines already in my life for years, so for me personally, there wasn't much gain. That's not to say that the book isn't a great asset to people who just don't know where to start in controlling their expenses and seeing through all the smoke and mirrors of consumerism. There are so many things in everday life that we all "fall for" like extras offered in services that seem like we're getting a great deal, but really aren't. I think everyone should have a chance to examine all the avenues the book covers. No question at all, there is at very minimum, enough potential savings to be had that more than justifies the cost of the book. I'd say "Go for it" because once you're armed with the general mentality of taking control like the book suggests, you WILL absolutely benefit on some level and continually.

Well done and simple to read. Good organization of material, except for some minor duplication. Mainly a good advice book on many topics, but with its simplicity come its basic nature. Common sense plus and many interesting web site referals for readers to pursue. For me, just too basic; wish Clark would write more complex material as well.
