Classic Albums - The Doors (DVD, 2008)

I own several DVDs by The Doors. What sets this DVD apart is that it has the three remaining members in it giving details that the other DVDs do not cover which is exactly what I was looking for.

This DVD is long overdue. It leaves you wanting more as it proves there is so much more to it--this is a good thing. The remaining members of the Doors give very generous and insightful contributions by literally re-performing their parts, or playing their instruments to illustrate personal approach to song arrangement etc. That the remaining memebers do more than sit on a couch and reminis is what makes this DVD valuable to anyone who would like to understand better recording artists of such a high calibre, that being extremely rare. The Doors have already proven they are on par with the best--Dylan, Beatles, Stones. Watch this DVD and see why.

It's hard to say how I feel about this DVD. The Doors music has always been very special...sacred... to me. There is all other music, and then there is the Doors. Any Doors fan must own this DVD. The 3 muscians from the band, Robby, Ray, and John, tell stories, and show how some of the incredible music was done. This is where my mixed feelings come in. It's kind of like a great magician telling how the tricks are done. On the other hand, you learn things you never knew. Aw, Hell, it's STILL magic. Buy it! I command you!

I bought this dvd because im a huge doors fan. And for those who don`t know so much abouth the doors, this is a good dvd to start with. Myselfe, I did not learn anything new from this dvd. But it shure was entertaining :).

Cool to see the left Doors this way, up so close with their instruments and bringing back memories!!! highly recomended!
