Harrison Ford plays a senator in this movie that is thrust into the position
of acting CIA director. Shortly after his taking the position it is found
that a friend of the President has been killed by drug lords and the President
before he knows the facts directs action against the drug cartels-while trying
to cover up his knowledge that his friend has been acting with the drug cartels. The CIA starts a covert action against the cartels using US military
men that are sent to Columbia. They blow up drug labs, airplanes and the rug
lords themselves-but are taken out of the loop by the CIA sector chief and left
in the jungle - with information on their whereabouts turned over to the cartels. Much good action ensues with Ford going to Columbia to find the team
that has been abandoned and tangleing with the security chief of the cartels.
A very good, fast moving movie that you will enjoy.

) This is a highly entertaining movie. It is well paced andhas no unnecessary scenes. The funeral/masacre scene is extremely well done. This movie can be watched over and over again. The cast is first rate and Ford is,of course, terrific as Jack Ryan again. If you like Harrison Ford dramas THIS is the movie for you. Do not hesitate to own this movie or to give it to a movie lover as a gift.

If you like Tom Clancy movies and books this is the best one in my opinion. You can't go wrong. The action the twists the unexpected...it's all good.

Clear and Present Danger is right up there at the top of the "Great Movies" list. This is a very well written piece very well acted it has an awesom cast. Oh yeah, and I'm not easily impressed!
