The Perfect Intro into BLADES
Created: 12/06/08
I have been playing with cavity backs for some time now and I was alway hesitant to switch over to blades. I finally did and was able to get a set of the CG1's at a great price and I tell ya...the design and technology in the club still feels better than todays clubs. I have played (not just tried...PLAYED) the slingshot OSS, cci's, Cleveland's Hibore set, adams idea OS set, and tried many others including blades but finally BOUGHT the CG1's...BEST Decision EVER! I have never been so accurate and confident in my shot. I didn't even need to get used to them. BUT I took this set seriosly and got fitted and regripped so I highly recommend you doing the same (regardless of club type...find the ones you love and gt fitted)

-Handicap - was around 20, now 10 with CG1's

Short on Distance!!
Created: 03/03/10
These Irons are VERY SHORT on Distance. When you consider the "High Dollar" upgrade graphite shafts, and the fact that they have been bent to give them stronger lofts (this procedure screwed up the offset profile), they are pretty PATHETIC!! They are O.K. for hanging on the wall, or unloading on an unsuspecting Cleveland Golf fan like myself. If you intend to actually play golf with your irons, then DON'T buy a set of Cleveland CG1's!!! VERY WIMPY!! I've got thirty year old Wilson Staffs, MacGregors, and Walter Hagens (which I bought for a fraction of the price), that will run circles around these. I got stuck with a stone around my neck on these!! Stay away from them!!

Cleveland CG1 Black Pearl

I bought this CG1 Black Pearl about one month ago, and i took very little time to adjust to this new clubs. This set present very perfect controls on both distance and direction.Best fit for mid to low handicap, but there is only one downside is the finish where you have to take a very good care of after every hits or otherwise the color will wear off pretty easy.Overall this is the best club i have owned so far.

Amazing clubs!
Created: 30/12/10
I have been playing with my CG1 blades for about a year now and I won't play with any other clubs. I tried a set of Nike blades and Taylor Made blades before my CG1's and didn't like them at all. I didn't like the feel and how my shots came out so I was dead set on sticking to cavity backs; until a friend let me hit his CG1's and ever since I've been hooked. My distance is great and I don't fade like I did with the other blades. I really love the Clevelands. Blades aren't for everyone and people who don't like the CG1's don't need to be playing with blades because they are the most comfortable and best reacting blades I've used.
