Product Information
A supernatural horror action game with a story devised by the master mythmaker, novelist and filmmaker Clive Barker. Mingling the darkest elements of Barker's horror fiction and films, Jericho deals with the mysterious reappearance of a lost city in a remote desert. When a form of evil that goes right back to the dawn of days resurfaces from there, a Special Forces squad, trained in both conventional warfare and the arcane arts, is sent in. Their mission: hunt down and destroy the evil that lurks at the heart of the city before it destroys humanity.

Wow I crossed my fingers hoping that this game would rock as a first person shooter,I mean c'mon now we have Clive Barker aka the king of the almighty "Pinhead" from Hellraiser.I was getting a little hyped up once jumping off the helicopter and getting into the game and main story line, yeah which lasted for 10 minutes. This game has got to be one of the oddest games to play....and not by shooting in anyway,no that part is simple,it's controlling everyone in your crew. For example each member of your crew has a unique style of combat and you may have to use them at certain times of the game, but reading on how to do it while firing your weapon is kind of hard.Holding the "A" button then selecting with the directional pad, pressing down for "Alpha" or "Omega" squad...ahhh it hurts so much to even type this up.And what makes it even more confusing is that your team members will call you by your first name but the D pad has them by last name...I mean really I have to remember everybody's first and last name??The only good thing about the game is the graphics on the monsters, they have much detail but then again they could have used them in a much better video game.Another lousy thing in this game is you have to mash certain buttons, for example if you played God of War or Resident Evil 4 where certain button patterns come up....yeah I find it pointless to even put that in this game....just makes it suck more.Buy the game put the mode on Hard and complete it in 1 - 2 days you'll get all your acheivements very quickly, that's if you stay long enough for the load times.

I bought the game for my nine year old nephew cause it was listed as action/adventure-NOT sexual violence, drug references, blood and gore. My sister is not very happy with me! I am sure the game is great, but you should make buyers aware that it has an M rating

Great action but a little too dark.

Created: 25/02/08
This game offers similar gameplay as Doom 3 but with a far more enthralling storyline, this gameplay portion is partly a downfall. In the comparison between this and Doom 3 I speak in terms of the darkness factor becoming very common with this genre of shooter. The caves and corridors in this game are very dark and often offer little chance to have a leg up on the bad guy and sometimes you are often face to face with a frustrating foe before you realize you are being attacked, although this does add to the suspense of a game it gets old very fast and the lack of change in scenery makes the game more bland. The character switching and special abilities add to the gameplay value and offer thrilling moments of gameplay but they compare poorly to the similarly utilized "plasmids" used in the game Bioshock. All in all the game is probably not worth the 60 dollar price tag but certainly worth a rental.

clive barker's jericho game is decent

Created: 10/11/10
I like first person shooter games, this game is pretty decent you have a variety of weapons you can use, i wouldn't rank it up there with modern warfare 2 but is pretty decent game for the price.

Horror Fan? Then Get the Game!

Created: 27/10/07
Presentation- Menus are nice and slick, horror effects are excellent, but sadly there are no options to change the control set up.

Graphics- Characters are very detailed and look very nice. The enemy detail is absolutely mind blowing, and gruesome as well! The levels has a tremendous amount of detail and overall its great. This is the strongest point of the game.

Sound- Extremely spooky music and nice sound effects. In this game, there is always a creepy sound across the corner.

Gameplay- Awesome guns, cool magical powers, many different monsters, team tactics are nice, character switching is intense, a lot of different ways to kill an enemy.

Lasting Appeal- Sadly, the lasting appeal isn't very strong. After you beat the approximately 12 hour campaign, there is not much to do except maybe play it on a higher difficulty. However, you will probably come back to this game to get some more kicks out of it once you've beaten it.

Overall- If you love scary things, weird monsters, gruesome places, a LOT of blood, then quit wasting your time reading this review and get the game!
