2007 cobra FP graphite R irons
Created: 01/08/08
I usually played Mizuno T-zoid Pro or Hogan apex plus (both forged) with regular steel shafts but bought the FP graphites after my heart bypass surgery seeking a bit more distance with less effort. They are fine clubs. Although The wider sole takes a bit of getting used, they definitely give you a bit more distance ,Play better from the rough, are accurate and deliver a high ball flight that will still stop the ball like a forged club. When hit on the center they feel just like forged and still feel good off center. Although you dont get as much feedback they are more forgiving on bad swings. They are a little harder off a tight lie due to the wider sole and a bit more bounce and as a result play a little easier off bermuda than bentgrass.Right now the 2007 models are pretty cheap and a good buy. I dont know why cobra made the sole shiny as it becomes scratched to a buff finish in only a few rounds and they should have just left if as a matte finish from the beginning .I think any hcp 10 or higher will like these clubs(I am a 12 index). I hope this helps your decision.

How incredibly lucky I was to come upon a set of 2007 Cobra FP irons 4-PW w/GW... I'd never seen a more amazing looking set of irons and was comparison shopping on ebay as I watched this auction, which was in it's final minutes tick down. I saw how ridiculously low the bid price was so I entered a bid in the final seconds and literally outbid someone by 1 cent.
Not only are these clubs incredibly light feeling and well balanced in your hands, they're by far the sweetest looking set I'd ever seen. Completely color coordinated with their beautiful graphite shafts. Variations of blue, black and white just look tremendous in consort with each other.
I couldn't wait to take the 6 iron to the range and compare it with some other sets I own. Wow. I was hoping they performed half as well as they looked and was astonished when their performance matched their style. Rare. Straight business...these clubs are absolutely fantastic in every single aspect. I bought them simply because of their tremendous aesthetic appeal and may keep them due to their performance.
If you can find a set of these on ebay with the coordinated shafts, grips and heads you have to take a flier on them. I don't think you'll be disappointed and I know you'll be the most styling golfer on the course or at the range.

Cobra FP irons

I like the looks of the FP irons when I address the ball. The top line of the club is thin like the traditional club but has the cavity back forgiveness of the newer clubs. The weight in the bottom of the club helps by enlarging the sweet spot and thus causing fewer off center strokes. I have been wanting to try the Cobra irons for a while and was waiting for the right priced clubs and I found them on eBay. I would recommend the FP irons to any golfer--from beginner to low handicapper. I have played Callaway irons for 10 years and I can honestly say they are as good as Callaway.

Best iron set for the price. Perfect balance between feel and forgiveness. Please try this Cobra FP set, if you are looking for an iron set that will improve your game. Perfect fit for those mid-handicappers searching iron set that does it all.

i was really on the fence about buying the cobra irons. i had played king cobra II for about 8 years and just wanted a change. i looked at ping, tm, and callaway - but none of those compared to the price of the cobras. these clubs look great, feel great, and are long. i have picked up about 8-10 yards on each iron thru the set, so i have some distance gaps to re-figure, but what a great buy. if you want a nice set of clubs for a good price (under $400) you will not be disappointed.
