Code Monkeys: Season 1 (DVD, 2008, 2-Disc Set)

I could say that this is the absolute best program to have ever been featured on the G4 television network. For a channel overrun by awful movies, syndicated television programs, foreign game shows, and virtually nothing of interest, this stands out as being the most entertaining, funny, and smart shows on this network. Not only that, it may just be one of the most hilarious adult cartoons I've personally seen.

The copious references to classic video games, the sharp wit of so many characters, the hilarious vulgarity of the dialogue, and the wild scenarios that take place; my favorite being the episode, "Third Reich's The Charm", it all borders on surreal.

It's such a good series, pick it up; such as some video games like Earthbound, No More Heroes, and Ristar, you should pick Code Monkeys up at least once, because there will never be anything else like it.

Excellent series if your into gaming with lots of gaming references...First season has appearance by Gary Gygax the co creator of Dungeons and Dragons. Series is about a group of workers at Gameavision who work for a crazy texan boss charecter.

I must have for children of the 80's. If you grew up as a child in the Nintendo-Atari-Mario era of the 80's this is a very funny and nostalgic series about a fake video game company centered on the 2 top game programmers who are complete slacker/stoners. There are many guest appearances by top programmers of today who pitch their SUPER successful games to the owner of the company only to have them completely shot down by the owner who usually ridicules them for their effort. Lots of crazy Zany hilarious adult themed plot lines. Not safe for children!

Code monkeys is like a 8-bit south park, with all the crude humor, and random things. I bought this dvd because the show is very funny and will not disappoint anyone who enjoy that kind of humor. Get this DVD if you love to laugh.

funny for those who need to watch something mindless to destress from everyday life. stupid enough to be funny and entertaining. animation puts to mind the good old days when Atari was king and 18 bit games blew your mind when the christmas commercials rolled around.
