Turtle Power!!

I owned this originally when Pizza Hut was selling it years ago when the Ninja Turtles were on top of the world. I bought this on ebay again recently merely for nostalgic value, because the original tape I had got ate in some tape player I put it in a long time ago, and for some reason these songs have never left my recollection now that I'm a lot older. It might be safe to say I purchased it again because I missed it from my collection in some type of way. It's hard to believe this endeavor influenced a full length tour around the country for the Ninja Turtles to play coast to coast. And the icing on the cake was to find out the tour did very well in terms of attendance to shows.

Don't be fooled into thinking because this was made for children that there was a half done effort to make cheesy music here in the studio. I admit some of the lyrics are kind of cheesy, but the music comprised with it more than makes up for it and gives it a little bit of a punch. Basically what you have here is a Pop/Rock album. Perhaps something along the lines of Bon Jovi meets Def Leppard in the studio with musicianship you could say. The production on here is of excellent quality, and the vocal scores are as well too. Surprising enough there's a lot of good drumming techniques and guitar work on here. Only the Ninja Turtles in their prime could have done something this outrageous and got away with it. Whether this album is good or not to you, it shows you how unique and special they were once upon a time to kids with this endeavor itself. I recommend at least one listen to it if you have never heard it before. Whether you like it or don't like it, one thing is for sure after listening to it you'll never forget the experience of hearing it. This truly made the Ninja Turtles stand out from all other characters on television at the time, and showed how cool they could be.

First Keroke

After I got this tape from my parents when it came out (I was 6), I listened to it so much my parents still know the songs! 13 years later, not to long before i joined the navy, sittin' outside a buddy of mine's place, i threw the tape into my truck and we did our usual first 2 song (Comin' Out of Our Shells/Sing About It) sing to it (we had no life, lol), and a gal across the street started clappin'. about 3 years later i lost it, I was mad as all hell. I'm glad I was able to find it here on e-bay, I'll definetly be recordin' this digitally so I'll always have it!

Hot Stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the TMNT were always the best! i love this album very much, i think when i was younger i got it at pizza hut and everyone made fun of me when i popped it in, but soon they realized that it was the most amazing music ever written. soon they fell into a trance and i choked each one of them for 3 and a half seconds. would anyone else like to see shredder and splinter get it on? or how bout just all the turtles and maybe be-bop. that would be Hot Stuff!

Like many others who brought this tape brought it for the nostalgia of it.. I had it when I was a kid and I used to listen to it non stop till I lost it. I been looking for it ever since..

The songs are a bit cheezy but the music is very good. I think this is the only pop rock I can lestin to..
