I must be Honest

Again since buying this haven't watched it..however used to own some of the stories, and I loved the actress that played Beatrix, loved the music theme and the cartoons were so cute...It is really some to pick up for those who were in love with the Beatrix Potter stories(for children of any age). So glad was able to buy them on dvd..I love Tom Kitten..He may be my favorite character..The puddleducks are goofy..but cute..with all of their clothes strewn....
I had a very nice seller. Most of my sellers are pretty nice to work with and understand any circumstances that hit right after deal is sold...

Excellent for Kids

This is one of my all-time favourite DVDs for children. I first had it when my now 4.5 year-old was less than two years old, and have had to replace them (scratched) for her and my 2 year-old daughter, so I've seen and listened to them countless times. What's nice is that it never really gets annoying the way most kids' stuff does. The music is unobtrusive and actually quite enjoyable if you like celtic-folk and classical, the illustration is in realistic colours and not loud and obnoxious like some animation, and I like that there is narration so it isn't all dialogue and is true to the books.
The only thing some people may object to, which is in the books as well and is just part of the times in which it was written, is the corporal punishment doled out to Benjamin and Peter for going into Mr McGregor's garden. It's not much, and doesn't bother me or my kids, but if you're really anti-that sort of thing, you won't like it!
I'd also just add, for my own preference, there are two version of the Jemima Puddle Duck voice overs. The version that is part of the four disc set has Su Pollard doing Jemima and it is way better and more in tune with the rest of the voices than the odd, American sounding, high pitched version on the two disc set, which also changes slightly some of the other voices as well.
I would recommend this set for kids though. Mine both love it - maybe a little too much!

My 2 and 3 year olds love these stories about the bunnies and the kittens. They are good for all ages. I enjoy watching them also. They are a great deal as a set.
