Todd Triplett did a good job of explaining the basics of tanning and taxidermy. There are some very good photos that show the stages of each sample piece. The author also provides alternate methods that help the experienced reader work with their taxidermy projects in a variety of ways to produce a quality product. It's definitely worth the investment of time and money to read through this book.

A great book for the beginner taxidermist. This book gives you the tips you need to complete your first few mounts with ease. It has some illustrative pictures that show the steps, but the pictures are not the best.
I would highly suggest this book to anyone who is think about starting taxidermy or has already done a few mounts. This is one book that should be part of your collection, and even a part of your tools.

Good explanations of the mounting processes and the different techniques that can be used. Defiantly a book that a beginner would need for starting out or a side job.
