Conan: The Complete Quest (DVD, 2004, 2-Disc Set)

Great double feature on one disk. This movie was made back when CGI was not the first choice for any and all action in films. It starts at Conan's youth and how he grew up to be a ruthless thief and conqueror. Along the way he befriends a wizard and several other thieves that reluctantly help him avenge the death of his family. In the end they defeat an entire cult and continue on the quest for their own kingdom.

It has very minimal special effects but is a great action packed adventure. If you want to watch some good ol' fashioned action and pummeling with an exotic atmosphere, watch these movies. They are classics.

I believe Conan can be considered a kinda sorta classic! It is a great addition to my dvd collection and a movie that pretty much follows Robert E. Howards books. Who else but Arnold could portray the barbarian, and Mako makes a swell Wizard.The first movie(rated R) has a little bit of the ol' female frontal nudity which I tend to enjoy and some cannibalism which I don't enjoy. The second movie(rated PG) has Grace Jones dupa showin' A tad and tends to be more easygoing than the first flick. All in all, a good value.

A real blast from the past. A true action adventure series before all the CGI effects we have today. This is Arnold in his rawest form, back when he was strong as an ox. Great performances from Grace Jones, Wilt Chamberlain and James Earl Jones among others add to these fun flicks. Of course there is violence and some mild nudity so you might not want the younger kids to watch. You can usually pick up this set for about the same price as a movie ticket but you will be able to enjoy these classics time and again.

I am a big fan of Arnold so purchasing the complete quest was a no brainer. It's funny to see how Arnold got his start but it's so classic! A must see for any Arnold fan!!!
