Conan (Sony Playstation 3, 2007)

This genre is clearly ruled by games such as GodWar, Heavenly Sword, even Ninja Gaiden (I highly recommend all three). Conan doesn't bring anything new to the table however, the excessive blood, nudity and cool action combos (although trivial) make-up for the lacking in originality. The premise is simple...loss everything you had, hack and slash your way (with Krom's help) through ridiculous monsters to get it all back; all the while saving helpless nude babes and sleeping with royalty. The game play graphics are a little dated, but the world at time looks pretty good. Definitely worth playing, if not owning. (I got a copy for $24.00, worth it to me)

At first the game is pretty fun, then it starts to get very mundane and repetitive.

The good is that there is lots of blood and some half naked women. There are a lot of moves that you can keep on buying. The bad was that the game was really short, there is a limited variety of enemies, the bosses are boring (especially the end boss) because they keep doing the same moves over and over again, and the story was choppy. The level design was very linear and didnt add to the game.

Basically this game is a rip off of God of War with the green orbs for life, and the red orbs for exp, etc. Also the timed button presses, cut scenese and even the old ladies voice sounded like the lady from God of War.

If you don't believe my review check the price of the game. Only the crappy games go down to half price in a month.

One of the firsts PS3 games ... Because of this, it is difficult to compare it with current games because it loses in graphics and gameplay ... It has the side of cost-benefit, you will pay a low price for the game and surely will get hours of fun guaranteed. Conan is an action game inspired by the barbarian character created by Robert E. Howard. The songs provide the ideal climate for the game, exciting to share that put the player into the game wanting to beat everyone and everything. The battles with the bosses of the stages are long and epic. In this bosses, you have to make the sequence of buttons and find the correct method to win. Conan is intended for those who like action games and move forward, without too many problems, where the key is to have fun.

If your someone who has never read a Conan book or comic in his life. This game may kinda get you a little confused. Before buying the game I did a little research and read up a bit on Conan. I pretty much fell in love with the big guy and had to get my hands on this game. Something to pass the time till Age of Conan the MMO comes out.

This game will do just that, it captures the dark world of Hyboria. The ruthless creatures that stalk you, the world of lust, and greed. Conan who you play embarks on yet another epic quest. You pretty much navigate Conan through Hyborias Dark sinister areas. (Areas I would probably toss a pebble in and call it good.)

Conan has some dynamics that are quite closely related to God of War Series. So if you like God of War. This game is right up your ally.

Graphically at points you feel like they might have skipped going over the fine touches of the game. The music is inspiring and makes you get into the game. The Story is well done, and nothing like saving helpless maidens. (All in a days work for Conan.) You will find though that the game still has some unfixed glitches in it which you will see now and then. But that won't damper in the gameplay much.

To sum it all up, if your seeking an adventure, and looking for the right Hero. Conan the Barbarian will take you through some dark passages, allow you slay those that rise up against you and allow you to save maidens. Keep in mind the Game is Rated M.

All an all, Great SFX,Music,Controls,and visuals. You may notice some bugs that aren't major, but it may draw you out of the storyline and make you cock a eyebrow. Good story, if only it could be longer. CONAN gets 4.8 out of 5.0

Great game in the same genre as God Of War...it's actualy the same as GOW but Conan is our hero here!! We even free, what looks to be Kratos, from a cage in the one of the first 2 rounds!! I'm a 32 year old gamer & this is a pretty good one!! I didn't give it 5 star rating but I did however leave a 4 star one, just because...
...pick up Conan for $20.00, it's worth every penny!!
