Convoy (DVD, 2005)

A good outlaw/rebel classic from the late 70's based on the infamous trucker anthem by C.W.McCall. This movie has a little bit of everything - comedy,drama & action. When the RUBBER DUCK & his boys get them selfs in a brawl with a hot-headed sheriff named Dirty Lyle, the war is on. Bound to make there way to Mexico no matter the obstacles, the journey turns into a intense mile long CONVOY that plans on leaving the smokies in the dust. Stars Kris Kristofferson, Ali Macgraw, Burt Young & Ernest Borgnine. At the time & for years after, this had one of the most exciting climatic crash scenes in a movie. Well worth having in your collection. If you like Smokey & The Bandit, The Gauntlet, Every Which Way But Loose & Any Which Way You Can, you will enjoy this classic from the days that didn't rely on tons of special effects & such.

Convoy. This is a fun movie about Trucking as you ride along with the Rubber Duck, Spider & Pig Pen. This is a fun movie for the whole family to watch, kids especially love the movie. This is the first time in 25 years that I watched the movie and it seemed better when I was a kid then as an adult. My kids really enjoyed the movie and it rated PG. The crash scenes and the chase by the Bears (Police) were entertaining. We would give this movie a 1 1/2 stars out of 4 stars.

I watched it growing up with my dad. Now he has passed this movie makes me think of him. This movie also lead me into driving a truck. I feel that the young kids today should be able to see this classic. Kris Kristofferson does a wounderful job playing the part of the rubber duck. Great movie.

I like the song to the movie and I thought it was really neat when all the truckers followed the rubber duck. Have been looking for this for a long time people told me that you couldn't get the movie anymore because it is so old.

I can only tell you what I like. BAck when this movie was filmed, I was about 17 0r 18, and I got to work as an extra in it and I also serviced some of the vehichle's used in the movie. The truck stop I worked at was used as a base for the rig's and I had a blast. This movie is also fun and enjoyable to watch. Based on C.W. McCall'smid '70's song. So if you like trucking, fast car's and Ali McGra........Grab you CB radio , your cdl and ride. But watch out for Dirty Lyle.
